Universal desktop Smart Card / ID Card reader AXAGON CRE-SM4NC StandReader with USB 480 Mbps interface. It is especially suitable as an ID card reader for use with mobile phones and computers equipped with a USB-C port. The reversible USB-C connector simplifies use by eliminating the need to orient the connector correctly when plugging it into a smartphone, tablet, or notebook.
The Plug & Play function enables immediate operation without the need to install drivers. For further use with an inserted card, it is only necessary to install a suitable application. The reader is compatible with most national eID (electronic identity card) applications.

The card reader supports all common formats of contact Smart cards, identification system cards, and other chip cards, including contact bank payment cards or contact electronic identity cards*. Compatibility with all common operating systems such as Windows, Linux, macOS, and Android enables wide use on desktop computers, notebooks, smartphones, and tablets.

The smart LED indicator lights up only briefly when activity changes and then switches off so as not to disturb the user. Compact design, high-quality workmanship, and a sufficiently long cable ensure easy and trouble-free use.
