Ideal for use in 4-wheel drive vehicles, i.e. caravans and campers, trucks, other commercial vehicles, but will also be a good choice for boat and yacht owners.Intelligent 3-stage chargingThe Monolith DC-DC charger will charge your starter battery using intelligent 3-stage charging consisting of:The BULK stage is the identification of the battery and its needs, charging up to 80% with a constant current, high voltage,The BOOST stage is the so-called absorption charging, it maintains the charging voltage between 14.1VDC and 14.8VDC, reducing the input current,The FLOAT stage is the last charging cycle in which the battery has already reached 95% of its capacity and gradually reaches 100%, there is a reduction in the charging voltage to a constant value between 13.0VDC and 13.8 VDC, the charging current automatically drops to 0A when the battery is charged.How to connect the battery correctly?To charge our battery, we need to correctly connect the D+ ignition cable to the DC-DC charger from the D+ input to the 12V source and select the correct battery type using the 5D button,which is located on the side of the charger. Once the correct battery type has been selected, the charger is ready to go. All we need to do is to start our starter battery, which is activated while driving. As soon as the 12V signal is received, the unit will switch on, the power indicator will light up green and the battery will start charging.
