Equipped with one USB 3.0 port, two FireWire 800 ports, and a hardware RAID controller, this enclosure supports RAID 0, which helps enhance performance and RAID 1, which provides data redundancy. For those who do not need the benefits of RAID, JBOD is also supported, which allows each of the 2.5" drives to be used individually. When configured as a RAID 0 using two hard drives, read speeds are possible up to 240 MB/s, with write speeds reaching 256 MB/s. When configured as a RAID 1 using two hard drives, write read speeds are possible up to 129 MB/s, with write speeds reaching 117 MB/s. When equipped with two SSDs and configured as a RAID 0, read speeds are possible up to 339 MB/s, with write speeds reaching 330 MB/s. If the SSDs are configured as a RAID 1, read speeds are possible up to 331 MB/s, with write speeds reaching 357 MB/s. The SOHORAID MR2-WB3 2-Bay USB 3.0 RAID Enclosure operates using 100-240 VAC at 50-60 Hz and is compatible with both Windows and Mac systems.
