Laptop batteries in our range are mainly replacement battery packs for notebooks, from original packs by Dell, Lenovo, HP and ASUS to third-party alternatives from 2-Power, CoreParts and Green Cell. They suit anyone whose laptop no longer holds a charge. A small number of RTC batteries and spare parts are listed here too.
How to choose a laptop battery
Match the exact model and part number. A battery must fit the casing and the connector of your laptop. Look for the part number printed on the old battery or on the underside label, and compare it with the product listing rather than relying on the laptop name alone.
Check the cell count and capacity. Packs in our range come with anything from 2 to 9 cells, and 3, 4 and 6 cells are all well represented. More cells generally mean a larger capacity and longer runtime, but only the pack designed for your laptop will physically fit. Compare the watt-hour (Wh) or milliamp-hour (mAh) rating with the original.
Know the battery technology. Most laptop packs use either lithium-ion or lithium polymer cells, and both are available in our range. For the buyer the difference is small, since the laptop's charging circuit is built around the pack type it shipped with. Choose the same technology and voltage as the original.
Decide between original and compatible. Original packs from the laptop maker follow the manufacturer's own specification and are the safest match for newer business laptops. Compatible packs from third-party brands usually cost less and cover many older models. Whichever you pick, buy from a listing that names your exact model.
Watch the product type. This category is mostly batteries, but it also lists a few RTC (clock) batteries, a battery cover, a keyboard and a display. Check the product type in the title so you do not order a part you did not intend to.

Laptop battery FAQ
How do I find out which battery fits my laptop?
Check the part number on the label of your current battery or on the underside of the laptop, then match it to the product listing. If you cannot remove the battery to read it, use the full model number of the laptop. Matching only the brand or screen size is not enough, because one range often uses several different packs.
How long does a laptop battery last before it needs replacing?
Most laptop batteries lose noticeable capacity after a few hundred full charge cycles, which for many users means roughly two to four years. Heavy use, heat and keeping the laptop plugged in at full charge speed up the wear. Signs that it is time to replace it include a sharply shorter runtime, sudden shutdowns and a laptop that only works on mains power.
Can I buy a battery with a higher capacity than the original?
Only if it is designed for your laptop model and has the same voltage and connector. A higher mAh or Wh rating can give longer runtime, but a pack of a different size or voltage may not fit or may not be accepted by the laptop. Use the original specification as your starting point.
Is a compatible battery as good as an original one?
A compatible battery can do the same job if it matches the voltage, capacity and connector of your laptop. Original packs follow the laptop maker's own specification, which is why some buyers prefer them for newer or business machines. For an older laptop, a compatible pack from an established brand is a sensible way to extend its life.
