Keyboard and mouse sets pair a keyboard with a matching mouse in one box, mostly for office, home and everyday desktop use. Our range of over 40 sets covers wireless combos with a 2.4 GHz receiver, Bluetooth-capable sets and wired USB sets from Logitech, Cherry, HP and Dell. A few are aimed at gaming.
How to choose a keyboard and mouse set
Connection. Most sets in our range are wireless and use a 2.4 GHz USB receiver, which works with almost any desktop or laptop that has a free USB port. Some add Bluetooth, so the same set can also connect to a tablet or a laptop without a spare port. A smaller group is wired over USB, which needs no batteries and has no pairing to set up.
Intended use. Sets are labelled for office, home and office, universal or gaming use. Office and home sets suit documents, email and web browsing, while the few gaming sets usually offer a more responsive mouse sensor. If you type for most of the day, check that the keyboard is full size with a numeric keypad.
Mouse resolution and buttons. Resolution is measured in DPI and ranges from 1000 to 6000 DPI in our range, with 2400 and 4000 DPI common. For office work, 1000 to 2000 DPI is comfortable, and higher values mainly help on large or multiple screens. Many of the mice have six buttons, which gives you room for back and forward navigation.
Power source. Mice in our range mostly run on AA batteries, some on AAA and a few have a built-in rechargeable battery. Keyboards mostly take AAA batteries, and some have a built-in battery. Replaceable batteries can be swapped in seconds, while a built-in battery saves you buying cells but needs a charging cable.
Desk space and colour. A full-size keyboard takes more room than a compact one, so measure your desk if space is tight. Black is the most common finish in our range, with white, graphite and grey available if you want the set to match other equipment.

Keyboard and mouse sets: frequently asked questions
Is a wireless keyboard and mouse set better than a wired one?
A wireless set is better if you want a tidy desk and the freedom to move the keyboard, while a wired set is better if you want no batteries and no chance of signal dropouts. For ordinary office work the difference in response is rarely noticeable. Wireless sets need a battery change or a recharge from time to time.
What is the difference between a 2.4 GHz receiver and Bluetooth?
A 2.4 GHz receiver is a small USB dongle supplied with the set, and it connects the keyboard and mouse to one computer. Bluetooth connects directly to devices that have it built in, so no dongle or USB port is needed. Sets with both let you use the receiver on a desktop and Bluetooth on a tablet or laptop.
What DPI do I need for an office mouse?
For office use, 1000 to 2000 DPI is enough for precise pointer control on a single screen. Higher values such as 4000 DPI let the pointer cross a large or multi-monitor desktop with less hand movement. Most mice also let you adjust sensitivity in the operating system.
Can I use a keyboard and mouse set for gaming?
You can, but most sets are designed for office and home use, and only a few in our range are labelled for gaming. Serious gaming usually benefits from a mouse with a higher-resolution sensor and a keyboard with fast, consistent key response. For casual games, a good wireless office set is usually sufficient.
