Wrist rests for keyboards and mice, designed to keep your wrists level during long hours at a desk. Our range of over 50 models suits office workers, gamers and anyone who types or clicks a lot. Fellowes makes up most of it, alongside Sandberg, Genesis, Gembird and Kensington.
How to choose a wrist rest
Keyboard or mouse. A keyboard rest is long and sits along the front edge of the keyboard, while a mouse rest is a small pad that supports the wrist beside the mouse. Decide which one causes you discomfort, or choose a matching set if you want both.
Height. The rest should be about the same height as the keys or slightly lower, so your wrist stays straight rather than bent upwards. A thick rest under a low-profile keyboard can push the wrist into an awkward angle, so check the keyboard height first.
Material. Silicone is the most frequent material in our range, and it is easy to wipe clean and keeps its shape. Gel gives a softer, cooler feel, memory foam moulds to your wrist over time, and rubber is firm and grippy. Some models combine materials, for example gel with rubber.
Size and grip. Match the length of a keyboard rest to your keyboard, including the number pad if you have one. A non-slip base matters because a rest that creeps across the desk defeats its purpose, especially on smooth surfaces.
Colour. This is a minor factor, but black and grey are the easiest to match with office equipment. Light blue, sand and sage are also available if you want something softer on your desk.

Wrist rest FAQ
Do wrist rests help with wrist pain?
A wrist rest can reduce pressure on the wrist and help you keep it in a neutral position, which many people find more comfortable. It is not a medical treatment, though. If you have ongoing pain, tingling or numbness, speak to a doctor and also review your desk height and posture.
Is gel or memory foam better for a wrist rest?
Neither is better for everyone. Gel feels soft and cool and is usually easy to wipe clean, while memory foam moulds to your wrist and gives a more cushioned feel. Silicone is a good middle option if you want something firm that holds its shape.
Should I rest my wrists while typing?
Use the rest for support during pauses and keep your hands floating lightly while you type. Resting your wrists heavily on the pad and bending them to reach the keys can add strain. The aim is to keep your wrists straight, not to lean on them.
How do I clean a wrist rest?
Wipe it with a slightly damp cloth and a little mild soap, then let it dry fully. This works well for silicone, gel and rubber surfaces. Fabric covers such as polyester may need gentler cleaning, so check the maker's care instructions first.
