What is the difference between a USB adapter and a USB converter?
An adapter usually changes only the shape of a connector, such as USB-A to USB-C. A converter changes the type of signal, for example USB to HDMI, Ethernet or serial, and contains a chip to do it. Shops often use both words for either kind, so check the product description.
