Laptop spare parts

Laptop spare parts

Laptop spare parts are replacement components for repairing or restoring notebooks, bought by IT technicians, office support teams and owners who service their own machines. The range includes over 300 items for Lenovo, Acer, ASUS and Dell laptops, among others. Matching the part to the exact laptop model matters more than anything else.

How to choose laptop spare parts

Exact model and part number. Laptop parts are rarely interchangeable between series, and sometimes not even between revisions of the same model. Find the full model name or machine type on the label under the laptop or in the system information, then compare it with the part number in the product listing.

Type of part. Work out what has failed before ordering. A laptop that no longer charges may need a new battery, a charging board or just a new power adapter, and a flickering display may be a cable fault rather than a broken panel. Typical replacements include batteries, keyboards, screens, fans, covers and hinges, and mainboards for more serious faults.

Variant and configuration. Many parts come in several versions for one model. Screens differ in resolution and connector, mainboards differ in processor or graphics chip, and cooling assemblies differ between models with and without a dedicated graphics card. Check that the description matches your configuration, not just the model name.

Fitting the part. Keyboards and batteries are usually manageable with a small precision screwdriver set and a plastic opening tool. Mainboards, screen assemblies and soldered components are better left to a technician. Whatever you replace, switch the laptop off, disconnect the battery where the design allows it, and discharge static before touching internal parts.

Brands we carry

  • Lenovo: by far the largest part of our range, with parts for the ThinkPad business laptops, for which Lenovo publishes hardware maintenance manuals that list part numbers.
  • Acer: parts for the Aspire and Swift laptops for home and office use, as well as for the Nitro and Predator gaming lines.
  • ASUS: parts for laptops from the Vivobook and Zenbook families and the ROG and TUF Gaming lines.
  • Dell and HP: both are common in company fleets through the Latitude and EliteBook or ProBook series, so their spare parts are often needed for office repairs.

Also in our range: ALLNET, ELO, MSI, Thermaltake and Samsung.

Frequently asked questions about laptop spare parts

How do I find the right spare part for my laptop?

Start with the full model name or machine type, which is printed on the label on the underside of most laptops. Then match it against the part number or compatibility list in the product description. If the label is worn, the system information in the operating system or BIOS usually shows the same details.

Can I use a part from a different laptop model?

Only if the manufacturer lists it as compatible. Parts that look identical can differ in connector position, cable length, screw points or electrical specification, so a mismatch can leave the part unusable or even damage the board. Compatibility between models is the exception, not the rule.

Are laptop spare parts easy to replace myself?

It depends on the part. Batteries, keyboards, memory and storage drives are often within reach of a careful beginner, particularly on business laptops with service manuals. Mainboards, screens with fragile cables and parts that need disassembly of the whole chassis are more demanding and carry a higher risk of damage.

How do I know whether a repair is worth it?

Compare the cost of the part with the value and remaining usefulness of the laptop. Repair makes sense when the rest of the machine is in good condition, for example a worn battery or a cracked screen on a recent business model. If the laptop is several generations old and needs several parts, replacing the whole machine is often more sensible.
