This category covers mid tower PC cases built around liquid cooling, for anyone assembling a gaming or workstation PC with an all-in-one (AIO) cooler or a custom loop. Most models in our range come from LIAN LI, with one from PHANTEKS. Each case has the radiator mounting space that a standard air-cooled case often lacks.
How to choose a case with liquid cooling
Radiator support. Check the radiator sizes the case accepts and where: 240 mm, 280 mm and 360 mm are the usual options. Top, front and side mounts often support different sizes, so match the case to the cooler you plan to fit.
Clearance. A radiator with fans is thick, and it can collide with tall memory modules or motherboard heatsinks when mounted on the top panel. A front-mounted radiator also reduces the room left for a long graphics card, so compare the maximum GPU length with the card you want.
Airflow and panels. Tempered glass panels show off the loop but can restrict air intake if they replace a mesh front. Look at where air enters and leaves, and how many fans are included, because the radiator needs a steady flow to work properly.
Motherboard size and internal layout. Mid towers take ATX boards and smaller, and some also take E-ATX. Check the power supply space and cable routing behind the motherboard tray, since a crowded interior makes tubing and radiator fans harder to fit.
Brands we carry
- LIAN LI: known for aluminium case construction and for the O11 Dynamic series, whose dual-chamber layout suits radiators and showpiece builds. It makes up most of this category.
- PHANTEKS: a Dutch-founded brand known for its Eclipse and Enthoo case lines, which offer broad radiator and fan support.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a special case for an AIO liquid cooler?
Yes, the case must have a mounting position for the radiator size you choose, and enough space around it. Most mid tower cases take at least a 240 mm radiator, but support varies by model. Check the specification sheet for both the radiator size and the position.
What radiator size fits a mid tower case?
Many mid tower cases accept radiators up to 360 mm, though some limit this to the top or front panel only. A 240 mm radiator fits more cases, while a 360 mm radiator usually cools high-end processors better. The exact limit depends on the model, so confirm it before buying.
Is liquid cooling better than air cooling?
Not in every case. Liquid cooling can handle the heat of a demanding processor and often runs quietly, while a good air cooler is simpler, has no pump and performs well for many CPUs. A case with liquid cooling support lets you choose either.
Should the radiator go on the top or the front?
Top mounting is common because the radiator exhausts warm air straight out of the case. A front mount gives the radiator cooler air, but it pushes the heat across the graphics card. The best choice depends on the case airflow and the components you use.
