Coolers

Coolers

Coolers for desktop PCs: liquid cooling parts and kits, processor air coolers, case fans, and thermal grease with accessories. The range suits first-time builders replacing a stock cooler as well as enthusiasts planning a custom loop, with brands such as Alphacool, EK Water Blocks, Thermal Grizzly and Noctua.

How to choose a cooler

Socket compatibility. Check that the mounting kit supports your processor socket, for example AM5, AM4, LGA1700 or LGA1851. Most coolers list their supported sockets, and some newer platforms need a separate bracket.

Air or liquid. A good tower air cooler is simple, has no pump that can fail and handles most mainstream processors. All-in-one liquid coolers move heat to a radiator on the case, which suits hot, high-core-count processors and leaves more room around the socket. Custom loops, built from pumps, water blocks, tubing and fittings, suit people who want full control and accept the extra maintenance.

Size and clearance. Measure the cooler height against your case's stated limit, and make sure a tall heatsink does not collide with memory modules. For liquid cooling, confirm that the case supports the radiator size, commonly 240 mm, 280 mm or 360 mm, at the front, top or rear.

Noise and airflow. Larger fans, such as 140 mm rather than 120 mm, can move the same air at a lower speed, which is usually quieter. Look for PWM control so the motherboard can adjust speed to temperature. For case fans, high airflow suits open mesh fronts, while higher static pressure works better through radiators and dust filters.

Thermal grease. A fresh, even layer between processor and cooler base affects temperatures noticeably, especially when you refit an older cooler. Liquid metal compounds conduct heat better, but they are electrically conductive and can stain or damage some metals, so they are best left to experienced users.

Cooler brands we carry

  • Alphacool: a German maker best known for custom water cooling parts, including radiators, pumps, reservoirs, fittings and water blocks, and the largest brand in our range.
  • EK Water Blocks: a Slovenian specialist in custom loop components, particularly CPU and graphics card water blocks.
  • Thermal Grizzly: known for thermal pastes and liquid metal compounds such as Kryonaut and Conductonaut, aimed at overclockers.
  • Thermaltake: offers all-in-one liquid coolers and RGB fans alongside its PC cases.
  • Noctua: an Austrian brand with a reputation for quiet, well-engineered air coolers and fans, such as the NH-D15.
  • ASUS: sells ROG all-in-one liquid coolers, often with a small display on the pump block.
  • Deepcool: known for affordable air coolers such as the Assassin series.
  • Bitspower: focuses on premium custom loop fittings, reservoirs and acrylic or metal tubing accessories.
  • Lian Li: makes the Galahad all-in-one coolers and the UNI FAN range, whose fans link together to reduce cable clutter.
  • Arctic: known for the Liquid Freezer coolers, the P-series fans and MX thermal paste.
  • Corsair: offers iCUE-controlled all-in-one coolers and fans with software-based lighting and speed control.

Also in our range: Lenovo.

The subcategories cover liquid cooling, processor coolers, case fans, and thermal greases with accessories, so you can buy the whole cooling setup in one place.

Frequently asked questions about PC coolers

Is liquid cooling better than air cooling?

Not automatically. A high-quality air cooler can match many all-in-one liquid coolers in temperature and is often simpler and quieter at idle. Liquid cooling tends to pull ahead with very hot processors and in cases where a large tower cooler will not fit.

How do I know if a cooler fits my processor?

Match the cooler's supported socket list to your processor's socket, such as AM5 or LGA1700. Then check the cooler's height or radiator size against your case specification. If the socket is not listed, the cooler needs a different mounting kit.

How often should I replace thermal paste?

Replace it whenever you remove the cooler, and consider reapplying every few years if temperatures slowly climb. Quality pastes can last a long time, but they can dry out under constant heat. Clean the old layer off completely before applying the new one.

What size case fan should I buy?

Choose the size your case has mounting points for, usually 120 mm or 140 mm. A 140 mm fan generally moves more air at a lower speed, but only fits where the frame allows it. Check the mounting holes and the number of fans your case supports before ordering.
