How to choose a gaming PC
Graphics card. The graphics card has more effect on frame rates than any other part. In our range, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti suit 1080p and some 1440p play, the RTX 5070 and RTX 5070 Ti are aimed at smooth 1440p, and the RTX 5080 is the choice for 4K or very high refresh rates. An AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT is also listed. Match the card to your monitor's resolution and refresh rate rather than paying for power you cannot display.
Processor. Intel Core Ultra 5, 7 and 9 and AMD Ryzen 7 and 9 appear in our range, with Intel Core Ultra 7 listed most often. For games alone, a mid-range processor is usually enough. A higher-end model with more threads (many listed systems have 16 or 20) makes more sense if you also stream, edit video or run several programs at once.
Memory and storage. Most listed systems have 1 TB of storage, some have 2 TB and a few have 512 GB. Large modern games can take well over 100 GB each, so 1 TB fills up faster than you might expect. For RAM, 16 GB is a practical minimum and 32 GB gives more room for streaming and background applications.
Ports and upgrade room. Check how many USB ports the case offers and whether some are on the front panel, as headsets, controllers and VR gear use several at once. Many systems in our range have four USB 2.0 ports alongside several USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports. Also look at whether the case has a free storage slot and enough airflow for a later drive or graphics card change.

Which graphics card do I need for 1440p gaming?
