Gamepads for PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, PC and Android devices, with over 100 models for console players and PC gamers who want a proper controller. The range includes wired and wireless pads from GameSir, Sony, Subsonic and Microsoft, plus a few guitar controllers for music games.
How to choose a gamepad
Platform compatibility. Check which system the pad officially supports before anything else. In our range you will find pads for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Switch OLED, PC, Android, Mac and iOS. Some models cover several platforms, so a single pad can serve both a console and a PC.
Wired or wireless. Wired pads need no charging and have the lowest input delay, which suits competitive play at a desk. Wireless pads are better for a sofa or a TV across the room. Our range has wired, wireless and dual-mode models that offer both.
Power source. Wireless pads run either on a built-in rechargeable battery or on replaceable batteries. Rechargeable cells save money over time, while AA batteries let you swap in fresh ones mid-session. Check which type a pad uses, and whether it can still be played while plugged in.
Connection type. Bluetooth connects directly to phones, tablets and many PCs. A USB cable or a wireless USB receiver is more dependable for a desktop. Several pads in our range list both Bluetooth and USB, which gives you the most flexibility.
Controls and special types. Most pads combine analogue sticks and triggers with digital buttons. Look at stick quality, trigger feel and whether extra buttons can be remapped. Guitar controllers in this category are built only for rhythm games, so do not buy one as a general gamepad.

Gamepad FAQ
Can I use a PlayStation controller on a PC?
Yes, a PlayStation controller can usually be used on a PC over a USB cable or Bluetooth. Many modern games recognise it automatically, though some older titles expect an Xbox-style pad. In that case a controller made for PC may be simpler.
Is a wired or wireless gamepad better?
It depends on where you play. A wired gamepad never runs out of battery and has minimal delay, so it suits a desk setup. A wireless gamepad gives you freedom to sit further from the screen, but needs charging or fresh batteries.
Will one gamepad work on several devices?
Some will, but many are built for a single platform. Look for pads that list several platforms, such as PC, Android and Nintendo Switch. Console-specific pads, such as those for PlayStation 5, are often limited to that system and PC.
What does analogue and digital control mean on a gamepad?
Analogue controls, such as sticks and triggers, register how far you push them, which allows smooth steering and aiming. Digital controls, such as face buttons and the directional pad, are simply on or off. Most gamepads combine both types.
