High-power laptop chargers are AC adapters rated at 150 W or more, made for gaming laptops, mobile workstations and other performance machines that draw more than a standard adapter can supply. Our range includes original and compatible adapters from Dell, Lenovo, HP, ASUS and CoreParts, with output ratings from 150 W to 240 W.
How to choose a high-power laptop charger
Output power. Check the wattage printed on your current charger or in the laptop's specifications. Our range includes 150 W, 170 W, 180 W, 200 W, 230 W and 240 W adapters. An adapter with a lower rating than the original may charge slowly, or fail to keep up when the laptop is under heavy load.
Voltage and connector. Match the output voltage to the original and make sure the plug fits the laptop's socket. Many high-power adapters use a barrel connector, and its diameter and centre pin matter. Two chargers with the same wattage can still be incompatible if the voltage or plug differs.
Original or compatible. Some laptops, Dell models in particular, read a signal from the adapter to identify it. With a charger that does not send the expected signal, they may limit charging speed or show a warning. A compatible adapter can be a sensible spare for a desk or a bag, but check that it lists your laptop's model or part number.
Part number and intended use. Most chargers in our range are listed for laptops, while a few are sold as universal or for workstations. Compare the part number on your old charger with the product listing, and prefer a listing that names your laptop series over a general-purpose one.

Frequently asked questions
What wattage charger does a gaming laptop need?
It needs a charger that matches the wattage of the original adapter, which is printed on its label. Many gaming laptops ship with 180 W, 200 W or 230 W adapters, and some use 240 W. Using a lower-rated charger can lead to slow charging or battery drain during games.
Can I use a higher wattage charger than the original?
Usually yes, provided the voltage and connector are the same. The laptop draws only the power it needs, so a 200 W adapter can normally replace a 180 W one. Check the manufacturer's guidance if your laptop is sensitive to unrecognised adapters.
Can a 150 W charger replace a 180 W one?
It is not recommended. A 150 W adapter may keep the laptop running at light load, but it can struggle when the processor and graphics card are both busy. The battery may then charge very slowly or even discharge under load.
Is a compatible charger as good as an original?
A well-made compatible charger can do the same job, but it must match the voltage, wattage and connector of your laptop. Some laptops, including many Dell models, check the adapter's identification signal and may restrict charging with a non-original unit. Choose a listing that names your laptop model or part number.
