Laptop adapters of 60 to 85 W are mains chargers for notebooks, mostly 65 W and 75 W models, for people replacing a lost, damaged or worn-out charger. Our range includes original adapters from Dell, Lenovo, HP and ASUS, plus compatible replacements from brands such as 2-Power and CoreParts.
How to choose a laptop adapter
Wattage. Check the output rating printed on your original charger and match it. Most adapters in our range are 65 W, with a good number at 75 W, and a few at 45 W, 60 W and 90 W. A charger with a higher wattage than the original is usually fine, but a lower one may charge slowly or not keep up under load.
Output voltage. Voltage must match what the laptop expects. Our range covers 19 V, 20 V, 18 V, 19.5 V, 15 V and 18.5 V, and 19 V is the most widely listed. Even a small mismatch can stop the laptop charging, so read the label on the old charger rather than guessing from the brand.
Connector type. The plug must fit the laptop's charging port. Round barrel connectors come in several tip sizes, and some laptops use a rectangular or USB-C connector instead. Look at the tip of your current charger, or search by the laptop model number, before ordering.
Original or compatible. An original adapter from the laptop maker is the safest match for the exact model. Compatible adapters from other manufacturers are often a sensible choice for a spare charger or an older laptop, provided voltage, wattage and connector all match.

Frequently asked questions about laptop adapters
What wattage laptop charger do I need?
You need the wattage printed on your original charger, or higher. Most laptops using this category take 65 W or 75 W. If the label is unreadable, look up the laptop model number and check the manufacturer's specifications for the supplied adapter.
Can I use a 75 W adapter on a laptop that came with a 65 W charger?
Yes, in most cases, provided the voltage and connector are the same. The laptop only draws the power it needs, so the extra capacity is not a problem. Using a charger with lower wattage than the original is where problems usually start.
Does the voltage of a laptop charger matter?
Yes, voltage matters more than almost any other detail. It should match the laptop's requirement, such as 19 V, 19.5 V or 20 V. A wrong voltage can cause the laptop not to charge, and in some cases can damage it.
Is a compatible adapter as good as an original one?
A compatible adapter can work well if it matches the voltage, wattage and connector of the original. Original chargers from the laptop maker guarantee the exact fit and the manufacturer's specification. For a main charger on a newer laptop, many buyers prefer an original, while compatible models suit spares and older machines.
