Cooling fans in our range are mostly computer case fans, plus processor and graphics card coolers and an all-in-one liquid cooler. They suit PC builders, upgraders and anyone replacing a noisy or failed fan. Brands include StarTech, be quiet!, AECOOLY and HPE, alongside Philips, Xiaomi and Duux.
How to choose a cooling fan
Where it will be used. Decide first whether you need cooling for a PC, a server or a room. The specifications in our range point mainly to computer cases, with a few products meant for a processor or graphics card. The brand list also includes names better known for home appliances, so check each listing to see what the fan is designed for.
Fan size. The diameter must match the mounting positions in your case or on your cooler. A 12 cm fan is the most common size in our range, but 8 cm, 7 cm, 9.2 cm and 14 cm fans are also available. Larger fans move similar amounts of air at lower speeds, which usually means less noise.
Number of fans. Most listings with this detail are single fans, with some two-fan and three-fan packs. A multi-pack saves matching sizes and is useful when you are filling front and top positions in a case. A single fan is enough for replacing one failed unit.
Voltage and connector. Most PC fans run on 12 V, and that is the value seen most often in our range. Some models accept a wider 5 to 13.2 V range, which allows slower, quieter running when the motherboard controls the speed. Check whether the plug is a 3-pin or 4-pin connector, since only 4-pin fans offer PWM speed control.
Noise and airflow. A higher airflow rating cools better but is usually louder. If the PC sits on your desk, look for a low-noise design with a stated decibel level. For a server or workstation under constant load, airflow matters more than silence.

Cooling fans: frequently asked questions
What size case fan do I need?
Check which fan sizes your case supports, because the fan must fit the mounting holes. A 12 cm (120 mm) fan is the most common choice for modern cases, and 14 cm fans fit where the case has room for them. Smaller 7, 8 and 9.2 cm fans are mainly used in compact cases and on small coolers.
Are 12 V fans standard for PCs?
Yes, 12 V is the standard supply for most PC case fans and coolers. Fans are normally powered from a motherboard fan header or a power supply connector. Models with a wider voltage range, such as 5 to 13.2 V, give more room to slow the fan down for quieter running.
How many fans does a PC case need?
Most PCs work well with at least one intake fan and one exhaust fan. Gaming or workstation builds with powerful graphics cards and processors often benefit from additional fans at the front, top or side. Balanced airflow in and out of the case matters more than the raw number of fans.
Should I choose a fan or an all-in-one liquid cooler?
A fan-based air cooler or case fan is simpler, cheaper to maintain and enough for most systems. An all-in-one liquid cooler moves heat from the processor to a radiator with fans, which can help in cases with limited space around the CPU or with demanding processors. It needs a case that supports the radiator size.
