Soundbars for TVs, monitors and home cinema setups, from simple 2.0 stereo bars to 5.1.2 systems with height channels and a separate subwoofer. Over 140 models are in our range, including Samsung, LG, JBL, Sony and Ultimea.
How to choose a soundbar
Channel layout. A 2.0 bar is a straightforward step up from TV speakers and suits small rooms or desks. Layouts such as 3.1, 5.1 and 5.1.2 add centre, surround and height channels, which help with dialogue and film sound in a larger living room. Our range covers everything from 2.0 to 5.1.2.
Subwoofer. Bass is where TV speakers struggle most, and a separate subwoofer makes the biggest difference for films and music. Many soundbars in our range include one, while others are bar-only and work better in bedrooms or small flats where bass volume matters to neighbours.
HDMI and other connections. Check which sockets your TV has before buying. Many soundbars offer one HDMI port, some have two or more for passing games consoles and streaming boxes through the bar, and a few have none and rely on optical, AUX or USB. HDMI ARC or eARC on the TV is usually the simplest way to get good sound with one remote.
Wireless features. Bluetooth is available on most soundbars in our range, which lets you play music from a phone without touching the TV. Some models combine wired and wireless connections, so you can use HDMI for the TV and Bluetooth for everything else.
Size and mounting. The bar should be roughly as wide as the TV and low enough not to block the screen or the remote sensor. Many models in our range can be wall mounted, and some are short enough to sit in front of a monitor on a desk.

Soundbar FAQ
Do I need a subwoofer with a soundbar?
A subwoofer is not essential, but it adds noticeably deeper bass for films and music. If you mostly watch news, series or streaming in a small room, a bar without one can be enough. For action films or larger rooms, choose a model with a subwoofer included.
What is the difference between 2.1 and 5.1 soundbars?
A 2.1 soundbar has left and right channels plus a subwoofer, while a 5.1 system adds a centre channel and two surround channels. The extra channels create a more enveloping sound with clearer dialogue. A 5.1 setup suits larger living rooms, while 2.1 is easier to place and set up.
How do I connect a soundbar to my TV?
The easiest method is an HDMI cable from the soundbar to the TV port marked ARC or eARC. If the TV or soundbar lacks HDMI, an optical cable or an AUX connection is a common alternative. Many soundbars also connect over Bluetooth, although a cable usually gives more stable sound with video.
Can I wall mount a soundbar?
Many soundbars can be wall mounted, and a large share of the models in our range support it. Check the product details for mounting brackets or keyhole slots on the back. Place the bar just below the TV, centred, so the sound seems to come from the screen.
