Ceiling TV mounts hold a television or monitor from the ceiling on a fixed or adjustable pole, with some models also offering tilt and swivel. They suit shops, waiting rooms, offices, kitchens and homes where wall space is limited. Our range includes over 50 models from brands such as MY WALL, NEOMOUNTS, MACLEAN and ONKRON.
How to choose a ceiling TV mount
Screen size and weight. Check both the size range and the weight limit of the mount against your screen. Our range covers screens from about 10 inches up to 75 inches, and listed weight capacities run from 12 kg to 50 kg. Always leave some margin below the stated maximum, especially when the mount will be extended.
VESA pattern. The VESA pattern is the spacing of the four screw holes on the back of your screen, and it must fall within the range the mount supports. Mounts here start as small as 50 x 50 mm and go up to 600 x 400 mm, so measure the holes on your screen before ordering. Small monitors and large TVs usually need different mounts.
Drop length and height adjustment. The pole length decides how far the screen hangs below the ceiling. Models in our range offer adjustment ranges from about 265 mm up to 1560 mm. Measure your ceiling height and the eye level you want, which is usually lower for seated viewing and higher in places where people stand.
Tilt and rotation. Tilt reduces glare and lets you angle the screen towards the seating area. Some mounts here tilt by a few tens of degrees, while others rotate up to 180 degrees. Choose wider movement if viewers will sit on different sides of the room.
Ceiling type. Mounts are fixed through the ceiling surface, so the construction matters. Concrete, timber joists and plasterboard each need different fixings, and plasterboard alone will not carry a screen safely. Check what fixings are supplied and whether you need extra ones.

Ceiling TV mount FAQ
Can I fit any TV to a ceiling mount?
No, the TV must have a VESA mounting pattern that the mount supports and must weigh less than the mount's maximum load. Check the hole spacing on the back of your screen and the weight in its specification sheet. Screen size alone is not enough to tell whether a mount fits.
How long should the pole be?
The pole should place the centre of the screen at a comfortable eye level for where people will sit or stand. Measure from the ceiling to that height and choose a mount whose adjustment range covers it. Adjustable poles are useful when you are unsure or expect to change the layout.
Can a ceiling mount be installed on a plasterboard ceiling?
Only if the fixings go into a solid structure behind the plasterboard, such as a joist or a suitable support plate. Plasterboard on its own cannot safely carry the weight of a screen. If you are unsure about your ceiling, ask a qualified installer to check it.
Does a ceiling mount let me tilt or turn the screen?
Many do, but not all. Some mounts in our range tilt by a limited angle, while others rotate up to 180 degrees. Check the tilt and swivel details on the product page if you need to angle the screen away from windows or towards different seating areas.
