Small TVs up to 32 inches for bedrooms, kitchens, home offices, student rooms and caravans, where a large screen would not fit. Our range of over 40 models includes HD and Full HD sets, many with built-in smart platforms, from LG, Philips, Sharp, Panasonic and Hisense.
How to choose a small TV
Screen size and resolution. Measure the space first, then consider viewing distance. A 24 inch set suits a desk or kitchen counter, while 32 inches is better for a bedroom wall seen from a bed. At 32 inches many buyers prefer Full HD for sharper text and picture detail, though HD is still acceptable for casual viewing from a few metres away.
Smart platform. Sets with a built-in platform run streaming apps without an extra box. Our range includes Google TV, webOS, Titan OS and HomeOS, and at least one model without smart features, which is enough if you only watch broadcast channels or use a separate streaming stick. Google TV is the option for those who want a wide app store and voice search through Google.
Tuners. DVB-T2 is the standard for digital terrestrial broadcasts in South Africa, so check that it is listed. Many models in our range also include DVB-C for cable and DVB-S2 for satellite, which helps if you want to connect a dish without a decoder.
Sound and connections. Speaker output in our range runs from about 6 W to 16 W RMS, and a higher figure usually means fuller sound in a room without a soundbar. Look at the number of HDMI inputs for a decoder, console or streaming stick, and at USB ports: our models offer one or two USB 2.0 ports for media playback.
Energy use. Small TVs left on for hours in a bedroom or office add up. The energy labels in our range show classes E and F for standard dynamic range, with consumption of roughly 17 to 27 kWh per 1000 hours, so compare labels when choosing between similar models.

Small TV FAQ
What counts as a small TV?
A small TV is generally one with a screen of 32 inches or less measured diagonally. Sizes such as 19, 22, 24 and 32 inches are common. These sets suit rooms where a larger television would dominate the space.
Do small TVs have smart features?
Many do, but not all. Our range includes models with Google TV, webOS, Titan OS and HomeOS, as well as at least one without a smart system. Check the product specification if you want apps such as streaming services built in.
Can I use a small TV as a computer monitor?
Yes, if the TV has an HDMI input, which most do. A Full HD model gives clearer text than an HD one at 32 inches. A TV is better for casual use and media than for long hours of detailed work at close range.
Do I need a decoder to watch channels on a small TV?
Not always. A TV with a built-in DVB-T2 tuner can receive digital terrestrial channels with only an aerial. Models with DVB-S2 can also take a satellite feed directly. Subscription services may still need their own decoder connected through HDMI.
