How to choose a holder, stand or tripod

Mounting type. Decide where the device will sit before anything else. Desk models are the most common in our range, wall mounts come next, and a few floor stands are available for kiosks, reception areas and presentations.

Screen size. Check both the smallest and the largest size a holder accepts. Our range covers devices from about 4.7 inches (a typical phone) up to 14.6 inches, and many tablet holders top out at 11 or 12.9 inches. A clamp that opens too narrowly will not take a thick case, so allow for the case as well.

Weight capacity. Many holders in our range are rated for around 1 kg, which is fine for a phone or tablet but not for a laptop or a heavy camera. If you plan to mount something heavier, look for a model with a higher stated limit rather than relying on the clamp feeling firm.
