GaN chargers are small wall chargers that use gallium nitride to deliver USB-C and USB-A power to phones, tablets and laptops. Our range of over 60 models includes single-port and multi-port chargers from Qoltec, 4smarts, Intenso and 3mk. They suit anyone replacing a bulky laptop charger or wanting one charger for several devices.
How to choose a GaN charger
Wattage. Match the output to the most demanding device you own. Phones usually fast charge at around 20 to 45 W, tablets and thin laptops tend to need 45 to 65 W, and larger laptops often ask for 100 W or more. A charger with more power than the device needs is safe, because the device only draws what it requires.
Number and type of ports. One USB-C port is enough if you charge a single device. Two or more ports suit a desk or a travel bag, and a mix of USB-C and USB-A helps if you still use older accessories. Check how the output is shared: when several ports are in use, the power per port usually drops.
Charging standards. USB Power Delivery is the common standard for laptops, tablets and most current phones. Some Android phones reach their top speed only with PPS support, and older models may rely on Quick Charge. Look at what your device supports before relying on the wattage alone.
Cable, plug and size. Many GaN chargers are sold without a cable, so budget for a USB-C cable rated for the wattage you want. Cables carrying more than 60 W need a chip inside that tells the charger what it can handle. Folding pins make a charger easier to pack, and colour is a minor point: our range includes white and black models.

GaN chargers: frequently asked questions
What is a GaN charger?
A GaN charger is a power adapter built with gallium nitride instead of the silicon used in older chargers. GaN components waste less energy as heat, so a charger of a given wattage can be noticeably smaller. The charging itself works in the same way as with any USB charger.
Is a GaN charger better than a normal charger?
For most people a GaN charger is the more convenient option, because it is smaller and lighter at the same wattage and usually runs cooler. It does not charge a device faster than a standard charger of the same power. The speed depends on the wattage and on the charging standards your device supports.
What wattage GaN charger do I need for a laptop?
Check the wattage printed on your original laptop charger and choose a GaN charger with at least that output. Many thin laptops work well with 45 to 65 W, while larger models may need 100 W or more. A lower-powered charger may still charge the laptop, but slowly, or only when the laptop is switched off.
Can I use a GaN charger with an iPhone or Android phone?
Yes, a GaN charger with a USB-C port works with iPhones that have USB-C and with Android phones, and a suitable cable also allows older iPhones to fast charge. Fast charging needs USB Power Delivery support on the charger. Some Android phones also benefit from PPS, so check your phone's specification before buying.
