Wall & USB chargers

Wall & USB chargers

Wall and USB chargers for phones, tablets, laptops and other USB-powered devices, from single-port plug adapters to high-power GaN and multi-port models. The range also covers wireless chargers, car chargers, charging stations and battery chargers. Brands include Belkin, Baseus, Anker and Samsung.

How to choose a wall or USB charger

Power output. Match the wattage to the device you charge most often. In our range, maximum power runs from 20 W and 25 W, which suit most phones, up to 45 W, 65 W and 100 W for tablets and laptops. A charger with more watts than needed is not a problem, because the device only draws what it can accept.

Ports and connectors. Count what you need to charge at the same time. Many chargers have a single USB Type-C port, but there are models with two, three and four Type-C ports, plus multi-port chargers and charging stations that combine several outputs. Bear in mind that the total power is usually shared between ports, so a 65 W charger may give each device less when several are plugged in.

Compatibility and charging standards. Many chargers here are listed as universal, while others are aimed at smartphones, tablets, laptops, headsets or power banks. For fast charging, check that the charger supports the standard your device uses, such as USB Power Delivery, and that the cable can carry the power.

Size and technology. GaN chargers use gallium nitride components, which generally allows a smaller body at the same wattage than older silicon designs. That matters if you carry a laptop charger in a bag. For travel, look for an input of 100 to 240 V, which works with mains sockets in most countries, and for the car choose a model made for a 12 to 24 V cigar lighter socket.

Wall and USB chargers: frequently asked questions

What wattage charger do I need for my phone?

Most phones charge well on a 20 W to 30 W charger. Some flagship phones accept more, so check your phone's specifications for its maximum charging speed. A higher-wattage charger will still work safely, but it will not make the phone charge faster than its own limit.

What is a GaN charger?

A GaN charger is a charger built with gallium nitride instead of silicon in its power components. This generally lets manufacturers make it smaller and cooler-running for the same output. It is a useful choice for high-power chargers that you want to carry.

Can I charge a laptop with a USB-C wall charger?

Yes, if the laptop supports charging over USB-C and the charger delivers enough power. Many laptops need 45 W, 65 W or more, so a 20 W phone charger will charge slowly or not at all. Check the wattage on your original laptop charger and choose one that matches or exceeds it.

Does a multi-port charger charge every device at full speed?

Not always. Most multi-port chargers share their total output between the ports, so each device may get less power when several are connected. Check the per-port output in the specifications if you want to charge a laptop and a phone together.
