Tablet cases and accessories cover protective cases, folio covers and add-ons that keep a tablet safe and more useful day to day. Our range here is small, with two products from Lenovo and Acer, so it suits owners of tablets from those makers.
Matching the item to your exact tablet matters far more than comparing dozens of options.
How to choose a tablet case or accessory
Compatibility. Check the exact model name, not just the screen size. Two tablets with the same 10.1 inch screen can have different camera cut-outs, button positions and thickness, so a case made for one may fit the other badly. The model number is usually printed on the back of the tablet or shown in Settings under About.
Level of protection. A slim folio cover guards the screen and adds little weight, while a thicker shell with raised edges copes better with drops. Think about where the tablet lives: a school bag, a kitchen counter and a work van each call for a different level.
Stand and typing needs. If you watch video or make video calls, a cover that folds into a stand saves you propping the tablet against a pile of books. For regular typing, a keyboard case or a separate Bluetooth keyboard is more comfortable, though it adds weight to your bag.
Manufacturer or other maker. Accessories from the tablet's own manufacturer are normally designed around that maker's tablets, which usually helps with fit and port access. Read the product description for the list of supported models before you order.
Finish. Colour is mostly a matter of taste, although darker and grey finishes often hide scuffs better than light ones. One item in our range is grey.
Brands we carry
- Lenovo: known for its Tab series of Android tablets as well as ThinkPad laptops, so its accessories suit people who already work with Lenovo devices.
- Acer: a Taiwanese manufacturer of laptops, monitors and tablets, including the Iconia line, which makes its accessories a natural match for Acer tablet owners.
Tablet cases and accessories: frequently asked questions
How do I know if a case will fit my tablet?
Compare the exact model number of your tablet with the models listed in the product description. Screen size alone is not enough, because cut-outs for the camera, speakers and buttons differ between models. If the listing does not name your model, treat the fit as uncertain.
Do I need a case if my tablet already has a strong screen?
Yes, a case is still worthwhile. Strengthened glass resists scratches better than ordinary glass, but it does not stop a cracked corner or a dented back after a fall. A case adds cushioning around the edges, where most drop damage starts.
Can I use a Lenovo or Acer accessory with another brand of tablet?
Usually not, unless the product is clearly described as universal. Cases and covers are normally shaped for specific models, so a case for a Lenovo tablet is unlikely to fit an Acer tablet or the other way round. Always match the accessory to the tablet model.
What is the difference between a folio cover and a shell case?
A folio cover wraps the back and folds over the screen like a book cover, often doubling as a stand. A shell case covers the back and edges but leaves the screen open, which makes it slimmer and easier to slide out of a bag. Folio covers protect the screen better, while shells are lighter and quicker to remove.
