Tablets

Tablets

Tablets in our range include Android tablets, Apple iPad models, Windows tablets, graphics tablets, rugged and industrial tablets, e-readers and kids' tablets. They suit home users, students, creatives and businesses that need a handheld screen for work. Leading brands include Apple, Samsung, Lenovo and Microsoft.

How to choose a tablet

Operating system. Pick the system you already use. iPads run iPadOS and work smoothly with an iPhone or Mac, Android tablets offer more variety in size and design, and Windows tablets run full desktop programs. If you need specific business software, a Windows tablet is usually the safest route.

Screen size and use. Screens around 8 to 9 inches are easy to carry and good for reading and video. Larger screens of 11 inches and above suit note-taking, drawing and split-screen multitasking. E-readers use paper-like displays that are easier on the eyes in long reading sessions and in sunlight, but they are not meant for apps or video.

Storage and connectivity. Storage matters more than most buyers expect, because apps, offline films and large files fill it quickly, and many tablets cannot be expanded. Wi-Fi models are enough at home or in the office. A cellular version costs more but keeps you online on the road, so choose it only if you will actually use it.

Durability and work features. For warehouses, workshops, vehicles or outdoor jobs, look at the rugged and industrial subcategories, which are built to survive drops, dust and water. If you plan to draw or take handwritten notes, check that the tablet supports a stylus. A dedicated graphics tablet is a better fit for serious illustration or photo retouching.

Tablet FAQ

Should I buy an iPad or an Android tablet?

Buy an iPad if you already use an iPhone or Mac and want long software support. Choose an Android tablet if you prefer more variety in screen sizes and designs, or want to stay within the Google and Samsung ecosystems. Both handle streaming, reading, video calls and browsing well.

Do I need a cellular tablet or is Wi-Fi enough?

Wi-Fi is enough if you mostly use the tablet at home, at school or in the office. A cellular model has its own SIM slot and keeps you connected on the move without sharing your phone's hotspot. It is mainly worthwhile for travel, field work and vehicles.

What is the difference between a graphics tablet and a normal tablet?

A graphics tablet is a drawing surface that connects to a computer, while a normal tablet is a standalone computer with its own system and apps. Graphics tablets offer precise pen control and pressure sensitivity for illustration and photo editing. Some models include a built-in screen, but they still rely on a computer to run the software.

Can a Windows tablet replace a laptop?

A Windows tablet can replace a laptop for many office tasks, since it runs standard Windows programs. Pairing it with a keyboard cover makes typing comfortable, and the lighter body is easier to carry. Heavy jobs such as video editing or large spreadsheets may still run better on a laptop with more cooling and ports.
