Video conferencing systems

Video conferencing systems

Video conferencing systems for meeting rooms, huddle spaces and boardrooms: conference cameras, video bars and complete room kits for businesses, schools and public offices. Our range of over 40 models includes Logitech, Yealink, Cisco, Lenovo and Poly. Most are built to put a whole table of people on camera and make everyone audible to remote colleagues.

How to choose a video conferencing system

Room size and camera coverage. A small huddle room of up to six people is usually covered by a single video bar with a wide-angle lens. Larger boardrooms need a system with optical zoom, automatic framing or extra microphones, so that people at the far end of the table are still seen and heard clearly.

Meeting platform. Check which service your company uses: Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet or Cisco Webex. Many systems are certified for one or more of these, and a certified device usually gives you one-touch joining and proper controls from the room panel. Some also work as a plain USB camera with any software.

Standalone bar or kit with a computer. An all-in-one bar runs the meeting software itself and needs only a display. A kit pairs a camera and speakerphone with a separate room PC, which gives more flexibility but takes more setup. A USB conference camera is the simplest choice if people bring their own laptops.

Audio quality. Remote participants forgive a soft picture sooner than a muffled voice. Look at microphone pickup range, echo cancellation and whether you can add expansion microphones for long tables. Hard walls and glass make echo worse, so rooms like that benefit from better audio hardware.

Operating conditions. Most office rooms are fine, but check the specified operating humidity if the device will sit in a less controlled space. In our range, listed operating relative humidity includes 10 to 95%, 15 to 80% and 5 to 95%, so the tolerance differs from model to model.

Video conferencing brands we carry

Video conferencing systems: frequently asked questions

What is a video conferencing system?

A video conferencing system is the camera, microphones and speakers that let a meeting room take part in a video call. Some are all-in-one video bars, while others are kits with a separate camera, speakerphone and room computer. Together they replace the laptop webcam for group meetings.

Which video conferencing system suits a small meeting room?

A single video bar with a wide-angle camera and built-in microphones suits most small meeting rooms and huddle spaces. It mounts below or above a display and connects with one or two cables. Check that the microphone range covers the far end of your table.

Do I need a separate computer for a video conferencing system?

It depends on the type of system. An all-in-one bar running its own meeting software needs no computer, only a display. USB conference cameras and kits generally need a laptop or room PC to run the call.

How do I choose between Logitech, Yealink and Cisco?

Choose according to the meeting platform you use and how your IT team manages devices. Logitech suits mixed setups with USB connection to any software, Yealink focuses on Teams and Zoom room systems, and Cisco is built around Webex. Room size and audio needs should then decide the exact model.
