Projector lamps are replacement bulbs and lamp modules for data and home cinema projectors. They suit offices, schools and home users whose picture has dimmed or whose lamp has failed. Our range is mostly CoreParts modules, with Epson lamps alongside, and covers projectors from Epson, NEC, BenQ, Optoma, Panasonic and Hitachi.
How to choose a projector lamp
Projector model and lamp part number. A lamp must be made for your exact projector, so check the model name on the projector and the part number printed on the old lamp. Similar-looking projectors from the same brand often use different lamps. Our range includes lamps for Epson, NEC, BenQ, Optoma, Panasonic and Hitachi projectors, with Epson and NEC the most frequently listed.
Bare bulb or complete module. Some lamps are a loose bulb, while others come fitted in a plastic housing that slots straight into the projector. A complete module is quicker and safer to fit, because you never touch the glass. A bare bulb is usually cheaper to make but needs careful handling and is best left to people who have changed one before.
Original or compatible. Original lamps are made or approved by the projector manufacturer. Compatible lamps are made by third parties to fit the same projector. Check the description to see which type you are buying, and keep in mind that brightness and colour can differ slightly between them.
Lamp life. Rated life in our range runs from about 2000 h to 5000 h, with 2000 h, 3000 h and 4000 h among the common figures. These are manufacturer ratings, and real life depends on how often the projector runs and whether you use eco mode. A longer rating means fewer replacements in a projector that is on all day.
Bulb power in watts. Lamps here range from around 200 W to 330 W, and figures such as 210 W, 230 W and 240 W appear often. Wattage is set by the projector design, so choose the value listed for your model rather than a higher one in the hope of a brighter picture.

Projector lamps: frequently asked questions
How do I find the right lamp for my projector?
Start with the projector's model name, usually printed on a label on the underside or back. Then compare it with the compatibility list in the product description, and if possible match the part number on your old lamp. If the model and part number both agree, the lamp will fit.
How long does a projector lamp last?
Most projector lamps are rated between 2000 h and 5000 h, and lamps in our range cover that spread. Running in eco mode usually extends life, while frequent switching on and off and blocked air filters shorten it. The rating is a guide, not a guarantee.
Can I fit a lamp with a different wattage?
No, use the wattage specified for your projector. The cooling system and power supply are designed around one lamp type, and a mismatched lamp can overheat or fail early. If a listing shows a different wattage from your original, it is probably for another model.
When should I replace a projector lamp?
Replace it when the image becomes noticeably dim, colours look washed out, or the projector shows a lamp warning or switches itself off. Many projectors also count lamp hours and prompt you near the end of rated life. Let the projector cool fully before opening the lamp cover, and reset the lamp timer afterwards if the model has one.
