How to choose projector spare parts and accessories
Model compatibility. Always start with the exact projector model, not just the brand. Lamp modules, filters and lenses are made for specific model families, so check the part number in your manual or on the old part before ordering.
Replacement parts or mounting hardware. Lamps and air filters are wear items. Most projectors need a new lamp after several thousand hours of use, and a clogged filter can cause overheating, so a replacement is worth planning ahead. Mounts and brackets are a one-off purchase, so spend your time on the fit and the installation.
Mount type and load. Choose between a ceiling mount, a wall bracket or a drop pole, depending on the room. Check that the mount's maximum load is above the projector's weight and that its arms or plate match the projector's fixing holes. Many mounts offer tilt, swivel and rotation adjustment, which makes aligning the image with the screen much easier.
Ceiling height and reach. In rooms with a high or suspended ceiling, an extension pole or adjustable-length mount brings the projector down to the right throw position. Measure the distance from ceiling to projector position first, and check the projector's throw distance against the screen size you want.
Cables and extras. Long HDMI or VGA runs, cable covers and wireless modules are easy to overlook. Work out where the source device will sit and how far the signal has to travel before you finish the installation.

Match the lamp to your projector's exact model name or the lamp part number printed in the manual. Lamps are not interchangeable between model families, even within one brand. If you are unsure, compare the code on the old lamp module with the product listing.
When should I replace a projector lamp?
Replace it when the image becomes noticeably dim, colours look off or the projector shows a lamp warning. Most projectors count lamp hours and display a message near the end of the rated life. Running a lamp far beyond that point risks it failing suddenly.
