Monitor stands in our range include freestanding desk stands and clamp-mounted stands that lift a screen to a comfortable viewing height. They suit home offices and workplaces where a monitor sits too low or desk space is tight. Brands include HUANUO, FELLOWES, AOC and TECHLY.
How to choose a monitor stand
Weight capacity. Compare the weight of your monitor with the stand's limit per screen. Stands in our range are rated for 9 kg or 15 kg per display, which covers many standard office monitors, but large screens should be weighed first. Leave some margin rather than running right at the limit.
Mounting type. Freestanding stands simply sit on the desk, so they need no tools and no drilling. Clamp or bolt-through stands, which we also stock, grip the desk edge or pass through a hole in the worktop. This frees up desk surface, but the desk must be thick and sturdy enough for the clamp.
Height adjustment. Adjustment ranges in our range run from about 82 to 151 mm on lower stands up to 250 to 495 mm on taller ones. A small range is enough to raise a screen for better neck posture, while a longer range helps when several people share a desk. As a general guide, the top edge of the screen should sit at or just below eye level.
Number of screens. Most stands in our range hold one monitor, and some support two. For a dual setup, check that the weight limit applies to each display and that the stand is wide enough for both screens side by side.
Monitor compatibility. Many stands attach to the VESA mounting holes on the back of the monitor, so the hole spacing must match. Monitors with curved backs or no VESA holes may need an adapter or a different type of stand. The monitor's manual lists its VESA pattern.

Monitor stand FAQ
How do I know if a stand will hold my monitor?
Compare the monitor's weight, without its original base, with the stand's maximum weight per display. Stands in our range are rated for 9 kg or 15 kg. Also check that the monitor has matching VESA mounting holes if the stand attaches that way.
Is a freestanding or a clamp stand better?
A freestanding stand is better if you want quick setup without touching the desk. A clamp or bolt-through stand is better if you want to free up desk space. Clamps need a desk edge or worktop that can take the grip.
Can one stand hold two monitors?
Yes, but only if the stand is made for two displays. Some stands in our range support two screens. Check that the weight limit applies to each screen separately and that both monitors fit side by side.
What height should a monitor stand be?
The best height puts the top edge of the screen at or slightly below eye level when you sit upright. Stands with a small adjustment range, around 82 to 151 mm, give a modest lift. Taller stands, with ranges up to roughly 495 mm, suit desks used by several people or those that need more room under the screen.
