Screwdrivers and bits in our range cover hand screwdrivers, bit sets and precision repair kits for tradespeople, workshop users and home fixers. Leading brands include BAHCO, BESSEY, BOSCH and MAKITA.
With over 20 products, you can choose between single hand tools, bits for drills and impact drivers, and small-format sets for electronics.
How to choose screwdrivers and bits
Tip type and size. Match the profile to the screw: slotted, Phillips (PH), Pozidriv (PZ), Torx or hex. A Phillips bit in a Pozidriv screw can slip and round off the head, so check the markings on your fasteners before buying, and pick the size (PH2, PZ2, T20 and so on) that fits snugly.
Single screwdrivers or a bit set. A single screwdriver is quicker to pick up for occasional jobs and gives better feel. A bit set with a handle or a 1/4 inch hex holder covers many screw types in one case, and the same bits fit most drills and drivers.
Hand tool or power tool use. Bits used in an impact driver should be rated for impact, because standard bits can snap under the sudden torque. For manual work, look for a handle with a comfortable, non-slip grip, as that matters more over a full day of fastening than the tip alone.
Electrical work. If you work near live circuits, choose insulated screwdrivers marked for 1000 V (VDE). Insulation is not a substitute for isolating the supply, but it adds a layer of protection when it is the correct rated tool.
Precision work. Phones, laptops and other small devices use tiny screws, often with unusual heads. A precision kit with fine tips and a swivel top is easier to control than a standard screwdriver, and a wide bit selection helps with proprietary heads.

Screwdrivers and bits: frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Phillips and Pozidriv?
Pozidriv has extra small marks between the main cross arms, and the tip is shaped to match. Phillips is designed to let the driver slip out under high torque, while Pozidriv grips more firmly. Using the wrong one often damages the screw head, so use PH for Phillips and PZ for Pozidriv.
Do I need impact-rated bits?
Yes, if you will use them in an impact driver. Impact-rated bits are made to flex and absorb sudden torque spikes, whereas ordinary bits are more brittle and can break. For hand use or a standard drill, ordinary bits are usually enough.
What does VDE 1000 V mean on a screwdriver?
It means the screwdriver has been tested and certified for work on circuits up to 1000 V AC. The insulated handle and shaft coating are designed to reduce the risk of electric shock. You should still switch off and verify the supply is dead whenever you can.
Which screwdriver set is best for repairing electronics?
A precision set with small tips and a good range of bit types is the best choice for electronics. Look for Phillips, slotted, Torx and hex sizes at minimum, as many devices also use less common heads. A repair-oriented kit such as one from iFixit usually adds opening tools too.
