Desk and monitor lamps for home offices, study areas and workstations: classic adjustable desk lamps, clip-on lamps, monitor light bars and smart lamps that connect to an app. The range includes TRACER, XIAOMI, ESPERANZA, DIGITUS and PHILIPS, along with BenQ, Yeelight and Philips Hue.
How to choose a desk or monitor lamp
Lamp type. A monitor light bar sits on top of the screen and lights the desk without throwing light onto the display, which suits keyboard and paperwork tasks. A traditional desk lamp with an arm gives more freedom to aim the light, which helps with reading, drawing or soldering. Clip-on models save desk space.
Brightness and colour temperature. Warm white light is easier on the eyes in the evening, while neutral to cool white keeps you alert during the day. Lamps with adjustable colour temperature and dimming cover both situations, so look for them if the desk is used from morning to night.
Smart control. Some lamps in our range work with an app, voice assistants or a wireless remote, so you can set scenes and schedules. This is useful if you want the lamp to match other lights at home. If you only need a lamp that switches on and off, a simple touch or button model is easier to live with.
Power and fit. Check whether the lamp runs from a mains adapter or a USB connection, and whether the clamp or base suits your desk. For a monitor bar, check the mount against the thickness of your screen, as curved and very slim displays can be awkward to fit.

Desk and monitor lamps FAQ
What is a monitor light bar?
A monitor light bar is a slim lamp that rests on top of a screen and shines light down onto the desk. It lights your keyboard and papers without putting light directly on the display. This helps cut reflections and takes up no desk space.
What colour temperature is best for a desk lamp?
Neutral to cool white light, roughly 4000 K to 6500 K, is commonly used for concentration during the day. Warm white around 2700 K to 3000 K is more comfortable in the evening. A lamp with adjustable colour temperature lets you switch between the two.
Do I need a smart desk lamp?
No, a smart desk lamp is optional. It is worth considering if you want scheduled lighting, voice control or scenes shared with other smart lights. For occasional reading or basic desk work, a standard lamp with dimming is enough.
Can a monitor lamp reduce eye strain?
A monitor lamp can help by balancing the brightness of the room with the screen, since working on a bright screen in a dark room is tiring. Light aimed at the desk rather than at the display also reduces glare. Taking regular breaks still matters, as no lamp removes the strain of long screen sessions.
