Apple iPad tablets in this category cover the iPad family from Apple: the standard iPad, iPad mini, iPad Air and iPad Pro. With over 140 models in our range, it suits students, families, creatives and professionals who want a touchscreen tablet that runs iPadOS and the App Store.
How to choose an iPad
Model line and screen size. The standard iPad suits browsing, streaming, video calls and schoolwork. iPad mini is the smallest and easiest to carry one-handed, while iPad Air and iPad Pro have larger screens and more headroom for drawing, editing and multitasking.
Chip and generation. Newer generations get faster chips and usually stay supported with iPadOS updates for longer. If you plan to keep the tablet for five years or more, a recent generation is usually a safer buy than an older, cheaper one.
Storage. Apps, offline films and photos fill space quickly, so choose by how you will use it. Light users who stream and browse can manage with less, but anyone recording video, storing large files or working with creative apps should move up a tier, because iPad storage cannot be expanded later.
Wi-Fi or cellular. A Wi-Fi model is enough if you mostly use the tablet at home, at school or in the office. Cellular models need a SIM or eSIM plan, and they make sense if you travel or want a connection without relying on your phone's hotspot.
Accessories and compatibility. Apple Pencil and keyboard support differs between models and generations. Check which Apple Pencil and which keyboard case your chosen iPad works with before you buy, especially if you want to take notes by hand or use the tablet like a laptop.
Brands we carry
- Apple: Apple designs both the hardware and iPadOS, so apps, updates and accessories such as Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard are built around the same ecosystem, and iPads sync easily with iPhone and Mac.
Every tablet in this category is made by Apple, so the differences come down to model line, generation, screen size, storage and connectivity.
Apple iPad FAQ
Which iPad should I buy?
The standard iPad is the sensible choice for everyday use such as streaming, browsing, reading and homework. Choose iPad mini if portability matters most, iPad Air for a larger screen and more performance, and iPad Pro for demanding work such as video editing, illustration or design.
How much storage do I need on an iPad?
It depends on what you store on the device. Streaming, email and web browsing need little space, while downloaded films, large games, photo libraries and creative projects need considerably more. Because iPads have no memory card slot, it is better to choose slightly more storage than you think you need.
Should I get a Wi-Fi or cellular iPad?
A Wi-Fi iPad is enough if you usually have a wireless network nearby. A cellular model adds mobile data through a SIM or eSIM, which is useful when you travel or work away from Wi-Fi. It needs a separate data plan, so it only pays off if you will use it regularly.
Does every iPad work with Apple Pencil?
No, Apple Pencil compatibility depends on the iPad model and generation, and different Apple Pencil versions pair with different iPads. Check the exact model name and generation of the iPad before buying a Pencil, and do the same for keyboard cases, which are also made for specific models.
