Camera rigs and video accessories in our range are aimed at photographers and videographers who want to add microphones, monitors, lights or handles to their camera setup. The small selection brings together products from NEEWER, FREEWELL and DJI for filmmaking, vlogging and content creation.
Check your camera model first, because many rigs are made for specific bodies.
How to choose a camera rig or video accessory
Camera compatibility. Cages and rigs are often cut to fit one camera body, with openings for the ports, battery door and memory card slot. Check that your exact model is listed, and look for universal designs only if you swap cameras regularly.
Mounting points. Look for 1/4-inch and 3/8-inch threads, cold shoe mounts and, on larger rigs, 15 mm rod support or NATO rails. The more standard mounts a rig has, the easier it is to add a monitor, microphone, LED light or wireless transmitter later.
Material and weight. Aluminium alloy is stiffer and more durable than plastic, but it adds weight. For handheld shooting all day, every extra gram matters. For a tripod or studio setup, a heavier and sturdier rig is usually the better choice.
How you will shoot. A cage with a top handle suits handheld work, while a shoulder rig spreads the load across your body for long takes. If you plan to use a gimbal, keep the total weight within the gimbal's stated payload and make sure the camera can still be balanced.
Access and accessories. A good cage should leave the battery door, HDMI port and USB port reachable without removing it. If you shoot in bright light or near water, also consider filters and other lens-side accessories, which are separate from the rig itself.

Camera rigs and video accessories: frequently asked questions
What is a camera cage used for?
A camera cage is a frame that wraps around the camera body and adds extra mounting points. It lets you attach microphones, monitors, lights and handles without using the camera's own screw thread. Many cages also protect the body from knocks.
Do I need a camera rig for video?
You do not need a rig for casual filming, but it becomes useful once you add more than one accessory. A rig makes handheld footage steadier and spreads the weight of extra gear. Vloggers, event shooters and interview crews are the people who benefit most.
Will a camera cage fit any camera?
No, most cages are designed for particular camera models, so the fit depends on the exact body. Check the compatibility list for your camera before buying. Universal rigs and clamps exist, but they offer fewer cut-outs for ports and buttons.
Can I use a rig with a gimbal?
Yes, in many cases, as long as the combined weight stays within the gimbal's payload limit. A lighter cage with only the accessories you need works best. After mounting, the camera must still balance on all three axes, so test it before an important shoot.
