Ceiling mounts hold a monitor or TV from above, using fixed brackets, height-adjustable poles or tilting arms. They suit shops, meeting rooms, workshops, reception areas and homes where wall and desk space is limited. How to choose a ceiling mount
Weight capacity. Check the screen's weight against the mount's limit and leave some margin. In our range, limits start at 12 kg and 20 kg for lighter monitors and go up to 50 kg for large TVs and commercial displays.
Screen size and VESA pattern. The holes on the back of your screen must match the mount's VESA range. Supported patterns in our range run from 50 x 50 mm for small monitors up to 600 x 400 mm for big TVs. Also check the stated screen size range, because some mounts only accept screens above 32 inches while others start at 10 inches.
Drop length and height adjustment. Measure the distance from the ceiling to where you want the screen's centre. Some mounts offer a short adjustment of 265 to 400 mm for low ceilings, while others reach 1060 to 1560 mm or even 2500 to 3000 mm for high rooms and open spaces.
Tilt and swivel. Tilt lets you angle the screen down towards viewers and reduces glare from windows or lights. Ranges such as -25 to 0 degrees suit a screen mounted above eye level, while mounts that tilt up to 90 or 180 degrees give more freedom for unusual layouts.
Ceiling type. Concrete, plasterboard and timber joists each need different fixings. Confirm what screws and plugs are supplied, and anchor into a solid structure rather than the board alone.

How much weight can a ceiling mount hold?
It depends on the model. In our range, stated capacities run from 12 kg to 50 kg per display. Always compare the limit with your screen's weight without its stand, and choose a mount with some spare capacity.
What does VESA mean on a ceiling mount?
VESA is the standard spacing of the four mounting holes on the back of a screen, given in millimetres, for example 100 x 100 mm. A mount works only if your screen's pattern falls within the mount's minimum and maximum VESA range. The pattern is listed in your screen's specifications or can be measured directly.
Can I tilt or lower a screen on a ceiling mount?
Many ceiling mounts allow tilt, and some also swivel. Height is usually set with an extendable pole, with adjustment ranges in our range from about 265 mm to 3000 mm. Check both the tilt range and the pole length before buying.
Can I install a ceiling mount on any ceiling?
Not always. The ceiling must be able to carry the combined weight of the mount and screen, and the fixings must suit the material. Concrete ceilings and solid timber joists are generally suitable, while plasterboard alone is not. If you are unsure about the structure, ask a professional installer.
