Holders and stands

Holders and stands

Holders and stands for phones, tablets and notebooks, suited to anyone who wants a device raised, angled or held in place on a desk or on the go. The range is small, with six products from Belkin, FIXED, LogiLink and Hammer, so it is easy to compare them one by one.

How to choose a holder or stand

Device type. Decide first whether the product must carry a phone, a tablet or a notebook. A phone holder is far too small for a laptop, and a notebook stand is more than a phone needs. Check that the stand names your type of device in its description.

Screen size and compatibility. Every stand has a limit on the size of device it can support safely. In our range, one notebook stand is listed for screens up to 38.1 cm (15"), which covers most 13-inch to 15-inch laptops. If you own a larger notebook, look for a stated maximum above your screen size.

Viewing angle and posture. A stand that raises the screen towards eye level reduces the need to look down, which matters if you work at a laptop for hours. Adjustable angles are more flexible than a fixed slope, especially if several people share the same desk. Tablets and phones benefit from an angle that suits both typing and video calls.

Stability and materials. Metal stands, such as aluminium ones, are usually sturdier and help carry heat away from a notebook. Plastic holders are lighter and often cheaper to carry around. Non-slip pads or rubber grips matter more than they appear, because they stop the device sliding when you type or tap the screen.

Portability and finish. If you move between rooms or offices, a folding stand that fits in a bag is worth having. For a fixed desk setup, size matters less. Silver is available in our range and matches most laptops and monitors.

Brands we carry

  • Belkin: known for charging and connectivity accessories for phones, tablets and laptops, so its stands and holders often sit alongside those products.
  • FIXED: a brand focused on everyday mobile accessories such as holders, cases and screen protectors.

Also in our range: LogiLink and Hammer.

Frequently asked questions about holders and stands

What is a laptop stand for?

A laptop stand lifts the notebook off the desk and tilts the screen towards eye level. This improves posture and can leave more room for airflow underneath. Many people pair a stand with a separate keyboard and mouse for longer work sessions.

Will a stand fit my 15-inch laptop?

It will if the stand lists a maximum screen size of 15 inches or more. One notebook stand in our range is specified for screens up to 38.1 cm (15"). Always compare the stated limit with your laptop's screen size before buying.

Do I need a separate keyboard with a laptop stand?

In most cases, yes. Raising the screen also raises the built-in keyboard, which can be uncomfortable to type on for long periods. An external keyboard and mouse allow you to keep the screen at eye level and your hands at a natural height.

What is the difference between a holder and a stand?

A holder usually grips or clamps a device in a fixed position, while a stand supports it from below and lets you set it down and pick it up easily. Holders are common for phones and tablets, and stands are the usual choice for laptops. The right type depends on how you use the device and how often you move it.
