Large TVs (75"+) are 75 and 85 inch televisions for living rooms, home cinemas and open-plan spaces where a standard screen looks small. Our range covers smart TVs from Hisense, Philips, Samsung and TCL, with diagonals of 190.5 cm (75") and 2.16 m (85").
How to choose a large TV
Screen size and room. A 75 inch TV measures about 190 cm across the diagonal and an 85 inch model about 216 cm, so check the wall, the TV unit and the doorway before ordering. As a rough guide, 75 inch sets suit a seating distance of around 2.5 to 3.5 metres, and 85 inch sets work best at the longer end of that range.
Picture technology. On a screen this big, resolution and brightness show up quickly. Look for 4K resolution as a minimum, and compare panel types such as QLED, Mini LED and OLED, since they differ in peak brightness, black levels and how well they cope with a sunlit room.
Operating system. The models in our range run Tizen, Titan OS, Google TV or HomeOS. Check that your streaming apps and any voice assistant you use are supported, because the system decides how the TV feels to use every day.
Sound and connections. Built-in speakers in our range are rated from 10 W to 30 W RMS, which is fine for casual viewing but modest for a screen of this size. If you watch films often, plan for a soundbar and look for an HDMI port with eARC to connect it. Gamers should also check for HDMI 2.1 and 120 Hz support. USB 2.0 ports range from none to two.
Wall mounting and energy use. Mounting patterns in our range are 300 x 300 mm, 400 x 300 mm and 500 x 400 mm, so the bracket must match the specific model and carry its weight. Energy consumption per 1000 hours runs from 96 to 155 kWh in standard dynamic range and from 121 to 272 kWh in HDR, which is worth comparing if the TV is on for many hours a day.

Large TV FAQ
How far should I sit from a 75 inch TV?
Around 2.5 to 3.5 metres is comfortable for most people watching 4K content on a 75 inch screen. Sitting closer lets you see more detail, but you will turn your head more to follow the action. Sitting further away reduces the benefit of the larger screen.
Is an 85 inch TV too big for a living room?
An 85 inch TV suits a living room with a seating distance of about three metres or more. It is about 216 cm across the diagonal, so measure the wall and the furniture first. In a small room, a 75 inch model is usually easier to live with.
Do I need a special wall bracket for a large TV?
Yes, the bracket must support the weight of the TV and match its mounting pattern. The models in our range use 300 x 300 mm, 400 x 300 mm or 500 x 400 mm patterns. Check the pattern in the product specifications before buying a bracket.
How much electricity does a 75 inch or larger TV use?
It depends on the model and on what you watch. In our range, standard dynamic range viewing uses between 96 and 155 kWh per 1000 hours, while HDR content uses between 121 and 272 kWh. HDR uses more because the screen runs brighter.
