Mouses and mousepads

Mouses and mousepads

Mice, mouse pads and wrist rests for office desks, gaming setups and home use. The range covers wired, wireless, gaming and ergonomic mice, plus a few keyboards and keyboard and mouse combos, from brands such as Logitech, Dell, Lenovo and Razer. With over 3,000 products, it is easy to match a mouse to your hand size, grip and daily work.

How to choose a mouse or mouse pad

Connection. Wired mice need no battery and have no pairing to worry about, which is why many competitive gamers and fixed office desks still use them. Wireless mice connect through a USB receiver or Bluetooth, and Bluetooth models pair with laptops and tablets without using up a port. Our range includes several hundred wireless models, so there is room to choose.

Sensor and DPI. DPI describes how far the cursor travels for a given hand movement. Moderate values are comfortable for documents and spreadsheets, while gaming mice offer high, adjustable DPI settings and extra programmable buttons. A bigger DPI figure does not automatically mean better accuracy, because sensor quality and polling rate matter just as much.

Shape and ergonomics. Check whether the mouse is right-handed, left-handed or ambidextrous, then match its size to your hand. Larger hands usually sit better on a full-size mouse with a palm grip, while smaller or lighter models suit a claw or fingertip grip. Vertical mice hold the forearm in a handshake position, which many people find easier on the wrist during long working days, and our range includes over 200 ergonomic and vertical models.

Mouse pad size and surface. A small pad is enough for a laptop or a tidy office desk. Extended pads cover both keyboard and mouse and give gamers room for wide, low-sensitivity sweeps. Cloth surfaces generally give more control, while hard surfaces give faster glide. A wrist rest in gel or foam helps if you type and click for hours.

Frequently asked questions about mice and mouse pads

Is a wired or wireless mouse better for gaming?

Wired mice are the safe choice for gaming because they remove battery and interference concerns. Many modern wireless gaming mice use a dedicated USB receiver with very low latency, so they are a good option if you want a cable-free desk. Check the battery life before buying, as heavy use drains it faster.

What DPI do I need for a mouse?

For office work, a mouse with adjustable DPI in the mid range is usually enough. Gaming mice go much higher, but most players use only a modest setting and adjust it to their screen resolution and taste. Look for a mouse that lets you switch DPI easily rather than chasing the highest figure.

Are vertical mice worth trying?

A vertical mouse is worth trying if you feel wrist or forearm strain after long sessions. It keeps your hand in a handshake position instead of twisting the forearm flat. Expect an adjustment period of a few days, and pick a size that fits your hand.

Do I need a mouse pad with an optical mouse?

You do not strictly need one, but a mouse pad usually improves tracking and protects your desk. Glossy or glass surfaces can confuse some sensors, so a pad gives a consistent surface. It also adds grip and comfort, especially for gaming mice used at low sensitivity.
