Numeric keypads are standalone number pads that add a ten-key block to a laptop or compact keyboard. They suit accountants, data-entry staff and anyone who types figures all day. Our range of over 20 models covers wired USB, Bluetooth and wireless keypads from brands such as R-GO Tools, Apple, Razer and Lenovo.
How to choose a numeric keypad
Connection type. A USB keypad plugs in and works immediately, with no pairing and no delay. Bluetooth suits laptops and tablets because it leaves the USB port free, and some models in our range use an RF wireless receiver instead. Check that your device has the right port or Bluetooth support before ordering.
Power source. Wired models draw power from the USB port, so there is nothing to charge or replace. Battery-powered keypads can sit anywhere on the desk, but they need fresh batteries now and then. If the keypad stays beside one computer all day, wired is the simpler choice.
Cable length. Where the keypad sits depends on the cable. Wired models in our range have cables of about 1 m to 1.75 m, with 1.5 m the most common. Allow extra length if your computer sits under the desk or you want the keypad on the left of the keyboard.
Intended device. Some keypads are made for laptops, some for laptops and desktop PCs, and others are universal. A model designed for Mac may use Apple-style keys and layout, while a general model may follow the standard Windows layout. Read the compatibility details for your operating system.
Key feel and size. Slim, low-profile keys match most laptop keyboards, while taller keys give more travel for long data-entry sessions. A full keypad with arithmetic keys and a Backspace key saves time in spreadsheets. Keypads with a few extra function keys can help with accounting software.

Numeric keypad FAQ
Do I need a numeric keypad with my laptop?
You need one if you enter numbers regularly and your laptop has no built-in number block. Many compact laptops and keyboards leave the ten-key section out. A separate keypad lets you type figures with one hand, which is much faster than using the number row.
Should I buy a wired or wireless numeric keypad?
Wired is the better choice if you want no charging and no pairing. A USB keypad draws power from the computer and connects as soon as you plug it in. Wireless models, Bluetooth or RF, give a tidier desk and work well for laptop users who move around, but they rely on batteries.
How do I connect a Bluetooth numeric keypad?
Switch the keypad on, put it into pairing mode, then select it in your computer's Bluetooth settings. The steps vary slightly between Windows, macOS and mobile devices. Once paired, most keypads reconnect automatically when switched on.
Will a numeric keypad work with a Mac or Windows PC?
Most numeric keypads work with Windows, and many also work with macOS, but check the product details first. Basic number entry usually works on any system. Extra function keys or special layouts may need the right operating system or driver.
