Display mounts and accessories for commercial and specialty displays suit businesses, offices, shops and installers who need to fix screens securely in place. The small range here comes from PRODVX, EVOKO and Ubiquiti.
It sits within our commercial and specialty displays section, so the focus is on professional installations rather than basic home TV brackets.
How to choose a display mount
Check the VESA pattern. Most displays have four threaded holes on the back arranged in a standard square or rectangle, given in millimetres, such as 200 x 200 or 400 x 400. The mount must support the pattern on your screen. Some mounts cover several patterns, but a pattern that is too large for the bracket will not fit.
Match the weight and size rating. Every mount has a maximum load and usually a range of screen sizes it is designed for. Commercial panels are often heavier than consumer TVs, so check the weight in the screen's specification sheet and leave a safety margin rather than working right at the limit.
Choose the mounting type for the surface. A wall mount, ceiling mount, floor stand and trolley each suit a different space. Brick and concrete walls take heavy loads with the right anchors. Plasterboard needs fixing into studs or a reinforced backing, and a ceiling mount depends on a suitably strong structure above it.
Think about adjustment and access. A fixed mount keeps the screen close to the wall and looks tidy. A tilting or swivelling mount makes it easier to reduce glare, reach the ports and service the display later. If the screen will be used in portrait, confirm that the mount allows rotation.
Plan cables and power. Leave room behind the screen for HDMI, power and network connectors, which are often bulky on commercial displays. Mounts that keep the screen too flat to the wall can make it awkward to plug in or replace cables.

Frequently asked questions
What does VESA mean on a display mount?
VESA is the industry standard for the spacing of the mounting holes on the back of a screen. It is written as two numbers in millimetres, for example 100 x 100. A mount and a display are compatible when the mount supports the display's pattern and its weight.
How do I know if a mount will hold my screen?
Compare three figures: the screen's VESA pattern, its weight and its size. The mount's specification should cover all three. Allow some margin on the weight rating, particularly if the screen will be moved, tilted or touched often.
Can I mount a commercial display on a plasterboard wall?
Yes, but only if the load is carried by the wall studs or a reinforced panel behind the plasterboard. Plasterboard alone cannot safely support a heavy screen. For large displays, have the wall checked by a qualified installer.
Do commercial displays need a different mount from a home TV?
Not always, as many use the same VESA standard. However, commercial displays are often heavier, may run for long hours and can be installed in public spaces. The mount should therefore have a suitable load rating and a secure fixing, and some installations call for a lockable or tamper-resistant design.
