OLED gaming monitors

OLED gaming monitors

OLED gaming monitors in our range run from 26.5-inch 1440p screens to 49-inch super ultrawide models, for players who want deep blacks and fast pixel response. Leading brands include MSI, ASUS, Samsung and GIGABYTE, with Dell, ASRock and Lenovo also available. Many models combine a QD-OLED panel with a refresh rate of 240 Hz or more.

How to choose an OLED gaming monitor

Screen size and shape. Models of 26.5 and 27 inches suit a normal desk and competitive play, while 31.5 and 32 inches give a more immersive view at arm's length. Ultrawide screens at 34 inches (21:9) and 49 inches (32:9) are in our range too. They add peripheral view in racing and flight games, but not every game supports the wider aspect ratio.

Resolution and graphics card. 4K (3840 x 2160) is the most common resolution among our models, followed by 2560 x 1440. 4K looks sharper, but it needs a much stronger graphics card to reach high frame rates. If you play fast shooters, a 1440p screen is easier to drive at 240 frames per second or more.

Refresh rate. Many of our monitors run at 240 Hz, which is a sensible target for most players. Some go to 360 Hz or 500 Hz, mainly useful for esports titles on a PC that can actually deliver those frame rates. OLED pixels switch very quickly, so motion looks clear even at moderate refresh rates.

Panel type and screen care. Most of our OLED monitors use QD-OLED, which adds a quantum dot layer for strong colour, and some use WOLED, which uses a white OLED layer with colour filters. As with any OLED, static elements such as taskbars and HUDs can cause image retention over years of use. Look for pixel-shifting and panel refresh features, and use a dark theme or an auto-hiding taskbar for desktop work.

Connections. Check for DisplayPort and HDMI 2.1 if you also play on a console, as 4K at high refresh rates needs enough bandwidth. A USB hub or KVM function is handy if you switch between a PC and a laptop.

OLED gaming monitor FAQ

Are OLED monitors good for gaming?

Yes, OLED monitors suit gaming because each pixel produces its own light and switches almost instantly. This gives true blacks, high contrast and very clear motion. They are best in dim or moderately lit rooms, where the contrast shows most clearly.

Will an OLED monitor suffer from burn-in?

Burn-in can happen with any OLED if the same bright image stays on screen for very long periods. Mixed use, such as games, video and varied desktop work, makes it unlikely in normal conditions. Pixel shifting, panel refresh cycles and an auto-hiding taskbar reduce the risk further.

What refresh rate do I need for an OLED gaming monitor?

A 240 Hz screen is enough for most players and is the most common choice among our models. Competitive players with a powerful PC may prefer 360 Hz or 500 Hz. For single-player games at 4K, 144 Hz to 165 Hz is often easier to reach.

Should I choose 4K or 1440p for an OLED gaming monitor?

Choose 4K if you want the sharpest image and your graphics card can hold a steady frame rate at that resolution. Choose 1440p if you value higher frame rates and a lower demand on your PC. On a 27-inch screen, 1440p already looks sharp, while 4K shows its benefit more on 31.5 and 32 inches.
