RGB mouse pads

RGB mouse pads

RGB mouse pads are gaming mouse mats with built-in LED lighting, from desk-wide extended pads to smaller surfaces for tight desks. They suit gamers and desk-setup enthusiasts who want lighting that matches a keyboard and mouse. Our range includes models from Razer, Mars Gaming, Corsair, AOC and Thermaltake, among others.

How to choose an RGB mouse pad

Size. Extended pads cover both keyboard and mouse and suit wide desks. Smaller pads leave room on a compact desk, but players who use low mouse sensitivity and make big arm sweeps need more surface than a standard pad gives.

Surface type. Cloth surfaces usually offer more control and a quieter glide, while hard, smooth surfaces are generally faster and easier to wipe clean. Choose according to your play style: precise aiming in shooters often favours control, quick flicks favour speed.

Lighting and software. Some pads have fixed lighting, while others offer many colours and effects managed through software. Our range includes pads with red, green and blue backlighting. If you already own a keyboard or mouse from the same brand, a pad that works with the same software lets you synchronise effects across the whole desk.

Base and build. A rubber base grips the desk and stops the pad creeping during fast movements, and some pads in our range use rubber. Check the edges too: stitched or sealed edges tend to resist fraying better than raw cut ones.

Power and cable. Illuminated pads normally draw power over USB, so you need a free port on your PC or a hub. Look at the cable length and whether it sits comfortably behind the desk without tugging the pad.

RGB mouse pad brands we carry

  • Razer: known for its Chroma lighting system and Synapse software, which lets lighting be synchronised across Razer keyboards, mice and headsets. It has the largest presence in this category in our range.
  • Corsair: its pads work with the iCUE software, so lighting can be matched with Corsair keyboards, mice and cooling products.
  • Mars Gaming: a Spanish gaming peripherals brand that offers lit mouse pads alongside keyboards, mice and headsets.
  • AOC: best known for monitors, and also makes gaming accessories to go with its displays.
  • Thermaltake: a name in PC cases and cooling, with gaming peripherals that fit alongside those builds.

Also in our range: Media-Tech, Aqirys, Savio, Aukey and Gembird.

RGB mouse pads: frequently asked questions

Do RGB mouse pads need a USB connection?

Yes, almost all RGB mouse pads are powered through a USB cable. You need a free USB port on your computer, monitor or hub. Without power, the lighting will not work.

What size of RGB mouse pad should I buy?

Match the pad to your desk and how you play. An extended pad that fits both keyboard and mouse suits desks wide enough for it, while a smaller pad is enough for light mouse movements on a compact desk. Measure your free desk space before ordering.

Does RGB lighting affect mouse tracking?

No, the lighting does not change how a mouse tracks. Tracking depends on the mouse sensor and the texture of the surface, so look at the surface material rather than the lighting. Pads with a very glossy or uneven surface can suit some sensors less well than a matte one.

Can I sync an RGB mouse pad with my keyboard?

Sometimes. Pads from brands such as Razer and Corsair work with their own software, so they sync best with devices from the same brand. Pads from other makers often have built-in lighting modes that cannot be matched exactly to a different keyboard.
