Games and construction sets in our range cover board and card games, LEGO and other construction sets, jigsaw puzzles and a small number of console games. The category suits families, regular game groups, collectors and anyone buying a gift. Leading names include LEGO, Pegasus Spiele, Ravensburger and Kosmos.
How to choose games and construction sets
Type of product. Board and card games make up most of the range, with LEGO and construction sets as the next largest group, then puzzles. Decide first whether you want something to play with others, build alone or finish over several evenings.
Player count and play time. Check the box for the minimum and maximum number of players, because a game that is excellent with four can be dull with two. Short card games suit a quick evening, while strategy and cooperative games often run for an hour or more.
Age and complexity. The recommended age on the box is a guide to reading level and rules, not only to safety. Family games usually have short rulebooks. Strategy titles from publishers such as FFG tend to need a longer first session to learn.
Language. Many publishers in our range are German, so some games have German rules and cards. Check the product description before you buy, particularly for games with a lot of text on the cards.
Size of set or puzzle. For construction sets, the piece count and theme decide how long the build takes and how much shelf space the finished model needs. For puzzles, a higher piece count means a longer, harder job and a larger table.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a board game and a card game?
A board game is played on a board, usually with pieces, dice or tokens, while a card game uses only cards. Card games are generally smaller, cheaper to carry and quicker to learn. Board games more often offer longer, more involved play.
How do I choose a LEGO set?
Start with the theme you or the recipient likes, then check the recommended age and the piece count. A higher piece count means a longer build and usually a larger finished model. Make sure you have a flat surface where it can be built and displayed.
Are the games in German or English?
It depends on the title. Many publishers in our range are German, so rules and cards are often in German. Check the product description for the language, especially if the game relies on reading cards.
Which games work well for a family evening?
Look for games marked for a wide age range, with short rules and a play time under an hour. Card games, cooperative games and simple strategy games usually work well for mixed ages. A jigsaw puzzle is a quieter option that everyone can join in.
