ideal Solution for Hot and Cold Data

Industry-leading Hybrid Storage Solution

Ample Space: Up to 128TB

Using the D8 Hybrid as a storage expansion device for Windows, Mac, or Linux computers is an excellent choice. By combining 4 x 24TB SATA HDDs with 4 x 8TB high-speed M.2 NVMe SSDs, it offers a maximum capacity of up to 128TB, providing abundant storage space for your extensive data needs.

Hot & Cold Storage Combo

Tailor your storage setup to your data’s needs and usage patterns. Leverage the large capacity advantage of mechanical hard drives and the high-speed read/write performance of M.2 SSDs. Users have the flexibility to manually select where to store their data based on type and frequency of usage, optimizing storage efficiency and access speed. This approach ensures swift access to hot data stored on high-speed SSDs, while cold data is stored economically and efficiently on HDDs.

Backup Buddy

Say goodbye to data worries with our complimentary TerraMaster TPC Backupper software! Back up your Windows PC data with ease, featuring incremental and differential backup strategies for stress-free and secure data storage.
*For Mac users, you can seamlessly utilize the built-in Time Machine feature for backup purposes.

Superior Compatibility

The D8 Hybrid features a USB Type-C interface, offering excellent compatibility with various protocols, including USB 3.0, USB 3.1, USB 3.2, USB4, Thunderbolt 3, and Thunderbolt 4. A complimentary 0.8m USB Type-C to C cable is included. The interface is compatible with Windows 7 and later, macOS X 10.6 and later, and Linux Ubuntu 16/18/20.

Speed Boost Galore

Get ready for lightning-fast data transmission! With USB 3.2 Gen 2 protocol, enjoy a blazing transfer bandwidth of up to 10Gbps. Experience maximum speeds across three different storage mediums and hardware environments.

Harness the lightning-fast read speeds of up to 980 MB/s with a single M.2 SSD (Samsung 980 NVMe M.2 SSDx1).

Achieve blazing performance of up to 960 MB/s using SATA SSDS in RAID 0 configuration (WD Red 1 TB SATA SSDx2, RAID O).

Even with HDDs in RAlD 0, enjoy swift read speeds of up to 521 MB/s (WD Red 8TB NAS HDDx2, RAID O).

When transfering a 10GB HD movie file, using the D8 Hybrid can complete the transfer in approximately 10 seconds, greatly enhancing work efficiency.

For users who require real-time editing or processing of high-resolution videos, the fast data read speed ensures a smooth working experience, reducing wait time & boosting productivity.

Multiple RAID Types for DATA Security

The D8 Hybrid features a hardware mode switch design, allowing HDD1 and HDD2 to quickly set the RAID mode through a manual switching knob. This creates an ultra-large-capacity storage space with a RAID data protection mechanism for computers.

Cross-Platform File Data Sharing

The D8 Hybrid supports various file system formats including NTFS, APFS, EXT4, FAT32, and exFAT. Its support for the exFAT file system, which can handle large files, allows hard drives formatted with the exFAT file system on the D8 Hybrid to be read and written across devices running different operating systems such as Windows, Mac, and NAS, providing a convenient cross-platform solution for large file transfers.

Four Hardware Adjustment Modes

The D8 Hybrid supports four hardware adjustment modes: SINGLE, JBOD, RAID 0, and RAID 1.

The 2+6 Innovation

Dive into the uniqueness of our 2+6 RAID mode! Slots 1 & 2 offer a playground for RAID 0/1/JBOD configurations, ensuring your data’s absolute security. Meanwhile, slots 3 & 4 and M.2 NVMe SSDs stand strong as independent guardians, catering to your every storage whim.

Unlock Infinite NAS Space

The D8 Hybrid is an ideal choice for expanding the NAS capacity of a home or small office. Simply connect the D8 Hybrid to the USB port of your NAS device, and you can easily expand the NAS storage space.

You can even use the D8 Hybrid as an external DAS storage device for TerraMaster NAS. Both TOS 5 and the latest TOS 6 systems support creating new volumes using the four HDDs and four M.2 SSDs of the D8 Hybrid, and utilizing the full range of TerraMaster NAS storage features, such as setting up storage pools, various RAID modes, and enabling snapshots.

Push-Lock & Secure
