Description

SHELLY Pro 4CB C32 Circuit Breaker

Protect your electrical system and gain greater control over its operation with the SHELLY Pro 4CB C32 smart circuit breaker. The device features a four-pole design (3P+N), which allows for the simultaneous disconnection of three phase wires and the neutral wire. It offers a rated current of 32 A, a C-type trip characteristic, and a short-circuit breaking capacity of 6 kA, ensuring protection for properly configured three-phase circuits against overloads and short circuits. Additionally, it monitors voltage, allows for remote control via the Shelly Smart Control app, and supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Ethernet connectivity. As a result, it is well-suited for use in residential installations as well as in commercial buildings and building automation systems.

Effective protection against electrical faults

The SHELLY Pro 4CB C32 uses a thermal-magnetic mechanism that automatically disconnects the circuit in the event of an overload or short circuit. The C-rating specifies how the protection responds to a rise in current, and the 6 kA breaking capacity allows you to select a device suitable for installations with appropriate short-circuit conditions. The device also offers electronic protection against overvoltage and undervoltage. You can configure the trip thresholds and response delays yourself, tailoring the circuit breaker’s operation to the installation’s requirements. Four interlocking poles allow you to disconnect all three phase wires along with the neutral wire, ensuring unified circuit control.

Remote Control and Convenient Monitoring

You don’t have to open the switchgear every time to check the circuit breaker’s status or remotely disconnect the protected circuit. With the Shelly Smart Control app, you can manage the device, monitor its status, and adjust the settings of the electronic protections. It is also possible to remotely re-energize the circuit if it was previously disconnected remotely and the appropriate conditions are met. This feature is not available after the protection has tripped or after the device has been manually turned off. Additionally, the device is equipped with a physical safety switch that allows you to disable electronic control, including the ability to switch the circuit remotely.

Parameter Monitoring and Event History

Thanks to built-in diagnostic functions, you can monitor selected system operating parameters in real time and identify anomalies more quickly. The circuit breaker allows you to monitor AC voltage with an accuracy of ±5% and the device’s internal temperature. It also records an event history, including, among other things, changes in circuit status, manual and remote switching, and the activation of protective devices. This gives you access to information that is useful when analyzing the system’s operation. The Shelly system also allows you to configure notifications for selected events, and data can be exported to CSV format or via the JSON/RPC interface.

Flexible Connectivity and Advanced Automation

The switch supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, and a wired Ethernet connection via an RJ45 port, allowing you to choose the communication method that best suits your installation conditions. You also have access to a built-in web interface and support for MQTT, HTTP, and WebSocket protocols, which facilitate integration with compatible automation systems. The SHELLY Pro 4CB C32 lets you create schedules, run scripts, and use webhooks to automatically respond to specific events. For example, when properly configured, it can disconnect a circuit in response to a signal from a compatible Shelly flood sensor. Additional capabilities are provided by the BLE Gateway, Wi-Fi Range Extender, virtual components, and KVS memory. No additional control panel is required for basic control within a local network.

Well-thought-out design and convenient operation

The SHELLY Pro 4CB C32 is designed for DIN-rail mounting in an electrical panel. Its dimensions are 93 × 90 × 76 mm, and it weighs 575 g. The housing features a manual lever, a reset button, a mechanical status indicator, and LEDs indicating communication status. A red mechanical indicator signifies that the circuit is energized, while a green indicator signifies that it is de-energized. The device can operate at temperatures ranging from -5°C to 40°C, and its service life exceeds 6,000 electrical cycles and 10,000 mechanical cycles. Thanks to the combination of classic safety features with smart control, it is well-suited for appropriately selected three-phase installations in homes, offices, commercial facilities, and utility rooms.
