Fans and filters

Fans and filters for liquid cooling cover the airflow parts that sit around a radiator in a water-cooled PC, for builders who want to replace, add or protect them. Our range is small, with four products, all from DEMCIFLEX. Check each product page for size and connector details before ordering.

How to choose fans and filters for liquid cooling

Size and radiator fit. Fans and filters must match the radiator they sit on. Most radiators are built around 120 mm or 140 mm fan positions, so check the radiator length and the spacing of the mounting holes before buying.

Airflow and static pressure. Radiator fins are dense, so a fan that pushes air against resistance matters more than a high headline airflow figure. Fans designed for radiators usually list static pressure, and a higher value helps air pass through the fins.

Noise and speed control. A liquid cooling loop often runs for hours at moderate load, so a fan that can slow down is useful. Look for the rated speed range and whether the fan can be adjusted from the motherboard, because a lower speed usually means a quieter system.

Connector and power. Most PC fans use a 3-pin or 4-pin header, and the 4-pin type allows speed control by PWM. Make sure your motherboard or fan hub has enough free headers for every fan you plan to fit.

Filters and upkeep. A dust filter keeps lint out of the radiator fins, where it is hard to remove. Choose one that can be taken off for cleaning without dismantling the loop, and check that its outline matches your fan or radiator size.

Brands we carry

  • DEMCIFLEX: the only brand in this category in our range, with all four products listed here.

No other brands are listed in this category at the moment, so comparing the four products by size, connector and specification is the quickest way to narrow the choice.

Frequently asked questions about liquid cooling fans and filters

Do liquid cooling radiators need fans?

Yes, in most PC builds. The coolant carries heat to the radiator, and fans move air through the fins to release it. Without airflow, the radiator cannot shed heat effectively and component temperatures rise.

What size fans fit my radiator?

The fans must match the radiator's fan positions, which are commonly 120 mm or 140 mm. A radiator is usually described by its length, such as a two-fan or three-fan model, so count the positions and check the hole spacing. Check the size listed on each product page before buying.

Is a dust filter worth fitting on a liquid cooling radiator?

Yes, because dust builds up between the radiator fins and reduces airflow over time. A filter catches most of it before it reaches the fins and is far easier to clean than the radiator itself. Cleaning it every few months is usually enough in a normal home.

Should radiator fans push or pull air?

Either layout works, and the best choice depends on your case. Push, where the fans blow air through the radiator, is the common setup. Pull is useful when clearance is tight, and fitting fans on both sides can add a small improvement at the cost of more noise.
