How to choose a projector mount
Mounting position. Most projector mounts in our range are ceiling mounts, and only a few are made for wall fixing. Pick the position that matches where your projector needs to sit relative to the screen, and check what your ceiling or wall is made of before choosing screws and plugs.
Weight capacity. Compare the stated maximum load with the weight of your projector, including any cables or add-ons. Models in our range are rated from about 11 kg up to 35 kg, so lightweight home projectors and heavier installation units are both covered. Leave some margin rather than using a mount at its limit.
Tilt and adjustment. Tilt range decides how precisely you can line up the image with the screen. Some mounts tilt only a few degrees either way, for example -15 to 15°, while others reach 0 to 90°, which helps when the projector sits close to the ceiling or at an awkward angle. Rotation and levelling adjustment make fine alignment easier once the mount is fixed.
Drop height and pole length. A projector usually needs to hang at a specific distance from the screen and at a certain height. Extendable poles let you lower the projector from a high ceiling, while a short fixed bracket suits low rooms. Check the minimum and maximum drop in the product details.
Projector compatibility. Universal mounts have adjustable arms that fit many mounting hole patterns, but it is still worth comparing the hole layout on the underside of your projector with the arms of the mount. Colour matters little for fit, though white, black and silver finishes are available to blend with the ceiling.
