Speakerphones are portable conference speakers with built-in microphones, used for calls from a laptop, PC or phone. They suit home offices, small meeting rooms and people who travel between sites. Our range covers Bluetooth and USB models from HP Poly, Jabra, Lenovo and Insta360, with wireless, wired and dual-mode connections.
How to choose a speakerphone
Room size and microphones. A speakerphone for one or two people at a desk needs far less than one for a meeting table. Models in our range have 3 or 8 microphones, and the higher count is the better fit when people sit at different distances from the device.
Connectivity. Wireless models pair over Bluetooth, wired ones plug in by USB, and some offer both. A dual-mode unit is useful if you join calls from a laptop at work and a phone on the move, because you can switch between a cable and a wireless link. Wired use is also the simplest option for a fixed meeting-room PC.
Bluetooth version and battery. Versions in our range include 4.2, 5.1 and 5.3. Newer versions generally give a more stable connection and better power efficiency. Most models here run on a built-in battery and take roughly 3 to 4 hours to recharge, so check how that fits your meeting schedule before you buy.
Ports and compatibility. USB Type-C is the connector on every speakerphone listed with a USB type, and some also have Micro-USB. Make sure your laptop has a matching port or that you have a suitable cable or adapter. Most models in our range are designed for PCs, while a few work with a wider mix of devices.

Speakerphone FAQ
What is a speakerphone used for?
A speakerphone lets one person or a group take calls and video meetings hands-free. It combines a loudspeaker with one or more microphones that pick up voices from around the device. It replaces laptop speakers, which are often too quiet and too poor at picking up voices for group calls.
Do I need a Bluetooth speakerphone or a USB one?
Choose Bluetooth if you want to move the device between rooms or connect to a phone, and USB if you want a fixed, cable-powered setup. Some models in our range support both connections. A dual-mode model gives you the most flexibility if you use several devices.
How many microphones does a speakerphone need?
Three microphones are enough for a small group around a desk, while eight suit larger tables. More microphones help the speakerphone capture voices from different directions. The models in our range have either 3 or 8 microphones.
How long does a speakerphone take to charge?
Battery-powered speakerphones in our range typically recharge in about 3 to 4 hours. Charging usually happens over USB Type-C. Charging time is separate from battery life, so check the stated talk time for the model you are considering.
